  1. That's actually what I meant... I misunderstood the post above as about Cueto/Chapman rather than Cueto/Leake.
  2. I've thought that... Perhaps the Dodgers would move one of those top two prospects and other good ones for a package like that... In my mind, if you're packaging them both, you have to get at least one top 10-15 prospect....
  3. I have heard that they aren't trading their top 2 (Seager or Urias) but have also heard that even if they didn't, guys 3 through 8 on their prospect list are still darn good prospects. At the same time, I can see the Reds point if they say "you want him now, before the all star break, with the extra starts? We want one of your top 2." If they are going to trade him now rather than the break, it makes sense to ask for more, and not something they'll be able to get in a month at the deadline.
  4. I have heard the Dodgers system is loaded and any of their top prospects would be a good get in return.
  5. I believe they played two years every year for about 20(30?)+ years and in the mid 2000's when Lickert was at Dayton they dropped the second game... If they are going to play twice I do think it should be farther apart... Like the first and last game...
  6. Not to get in the middle of this argument, but... C'mon man... The dude is one step out of the NBA. He's a phone call away from making it at the highest level. But he wouldn't have made a high school team 30 or 40 years ago? Please...
  7. The last few times the basketball game was held they were pulling kids out of the stands to fill the teams and there was probably less than 50 total people in the gym. I believe that contributed to it.
  8. Well, after reading that, he didn't 'pretty much' say it. He said it. Pretty much word for word.
  9. I can certainly understand that, but the original insinuation made by @KYgentleman25 was that it was somehow something the schools were doing wrong... If these public became better academically, socially, and emotionally...Well the publics are doing everything they can in a lot of cases.
  10. Exactly... Maybe some of these publics that you are criticizing are doing the best they can with what they have to work with... Maybe they're pretty good 'academically, socially, and emotionally.' But they have what they have.
  11. What I'm hearing here is that it's your theory that the problem is with the schools, teachers, etc.?
  12. I feel like they were about to take Phillips and when the Dolphins took him they panicked
  13. I really would've liked to see them take a pass catcher.. The TE preferably...
  14. They just interviewed him. Wow. You talk about a kid with his head on straight... Pre Med to be a doctor because he wants to reform the health care system in Jamaica
  15. Have you seen that video?! That's insane... Unbelievable
  16. You're obviously getting the news quicker than us on these picks lol
  17. What bothers me about the Bengals this year and last really... The Steelers and Ravens take guys that will step in and contribute right now. The bengals select a guy that tore his ACL a couple months ago and might not play this year. The kid might turn into a hall of famer. Hopefully he does. But wasn't there a couple more win now prospects on the board? To me it puts real pressure on them to find more immediate contributors in the next couple rounds....
  18. I really don't have a problem with the pick for the bengals, except that it looks like they could have gotten him later if that was their guy... Dupree looks like a Steeler. But they haven't hit the last two years trying to take guys like him...
  19. How bout this news about Collins from LSU... Might be pulling out of the draft in light of the investigation into his ex girlfriends death... WOW!
  20. I think they'll take the highest rated OT on their board left. Which from everything I hear might be this Fisher kid from Oregon... I'm not too thrilled with the reports that he lacks strength. But they've seemed to do pretty well with their high picked OLine, so I trust them in that. I think I'd take the highest rated player on my board that isn't a RB...
  21. If Green Beckham is there in the 2nd, or, dare I say it, the 3rd or later, do you think they would jump all over it?
  22. I agree Homer's contract is the biggest boneheaded move.
  23. Alonso, Grandal, Boxberger, Wood... Alonso was never going to play here with Joey. They were always going to trade one of them for something.
  24. From Wikipedia.. Legal issues[edit] Late on the night of October 3, 2012 Green-Beckham and two other freshman teammates, linebacker Torey Boozer and receiver Levi Copelin, were arrested on marijuana charges by the University of Missouri police department after the three were found in possession of 35 grams (1.2 oz) or less of marijuana.[24] Green-Beckham and the others were parked in a vehicle south of Memorial Stadium in Columbia at the time of their arrest. Two other unnamed individuals—also Mizzou players—were in the vehicle as well, but were released after police determined they were not involved in the drug possession.[24] After being processed at the campus police station Green-Beckham, Boozer, and Copelin were released on signature summons.[25] In response to the arrest a spokesperson for the MU athletic department said that all five players would be suspended from the next game, October 6 against Vanderbilt. Other disciplinary action may also be taken by the team[24] and handled internally with no additional public comment on the issue.[25] The case was resolved on October 16, 2012 when Green-Beckham entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of trespassing in Columbia, Missouri Municipal Court. He was fined $200 plus court costs.[26] On January 10, 2014, Green-Beckham was again arrested on a marijuana charge.[27] Officials with the Springfield, Missouri police department confirmed the Mizzou star was arrested on suspicion of drug activity and booked into the Greene County, Missouri jail in the early morning hours of January 11. Police found a pound of marijuana in the car he was riding in.[27] According to the Springfield News-Leader, Green-Beckham was originally arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute following a traffic stop but was later released without charges, pending further investigation.[28] Authorities, citing an ongoing investigation, declined to provide further information on the incident. Dismissal[edit] On Friday, April 11, 2014, Dorial Green-Beckham was dismissed from the University of Missouri football team. His dismissal followed his prior drug-related problems and an incident in which he allegedly forced open an apartment door and pushed an 18-year-old woman down several stairs. Green-Beckham was not charged in the incident, with police citing a lack of cooperation from the alleged victim. Head coach Gary Pinkel said in a prepared statement, "This decision was made with the best interests of all involved in mind. Dorial's priority going forward needs to be focusing on getting the help he needs. As we have all along, we will continue to do everything we can to assist Dorial and his family. We care deeply about Dorial and his well-being, but hopefully he can benefit from a fresh start."
