UK WILL NEVER EVER GIVE HAWKINS A SCHOLARSHIP for bball. Football maybe. UK clearly was more interested in Bolden after they played each other.

I am confident there are 5 better bball players in Lexington and Louisville. He might be the best bball player who also plays football. Working your butt is not a reason to give him Mr Basketball. Holmes much younger team had them beaten.

I have no idea, have not seen all of them. What I said is if he is Mr Basketball then this state is hurting for talent. Does anyone have the list of the past 10 years of Mr Basketballs in Ky? How did Mr Hawkins finish in Mr Football? That seems to be his sport. NO WAY BBALL IS. He drives to the basket in Div 1 and will never get a shot off. Will never be able to create anything outside to create an open shot. I mentioned 2 basketball players in NKY that are better basketball players, Bolden and Hatton.

If Hawkins is Mr Basketball, Ky is way way way down in talent this year. What are the conditions on being Mr Basketball? ?? Great kid in the community? Buys more girl scout cookies than anyone else? Volunteers countless hours at nursing homes? Oh and happens to be on a basketball team. Cmon, if thats all Ky has it is sad. Bolden and Hatton are both better basketball players. Hawkins might beat them in a football game or a wrestling match. His whole BBall game is strength. Any Div 1 guard would eat him alive. A great kid though I hear.

They better handle it better than they did the boys 9th region tournament. The less help they have the more money they make.

I would take Bolden over Hawkins any day of the week. Hawkins is way overrated. He is a football player in a football body that happens to be athletic. NO WAY is he a Div 1 material on the basketball court. If UK recruits him it will be just as someone posted, as a walk on.

Everybody you spoke to was an alum of NCC. NO WAY they were the best team in the ninth. Guards were inconsistent and inside people were soft. They would be the third best in the 35th., behind Holmes, CCH and HC. They need to stick to class A schools.

I know Holmes and Cov Cath have met in the finals of the 9th Region many times. Is there another district (pretty sure) that can boast the same thing? Please list another district that has had the two finalist from the same district besides these two. :sssh: What a loaded District with the HC, CCH and Holmes.
