  1. Without being there but knowing his older bros' play I take it he did the ole Grayson Allen drive down the paint and flop by a little touch.
  2. LB thanks for the updates. I got a kick out of every time NCC scored you had to say Wow lol
  3. The only team they have struggled with was T? That must mean they have made it to the title game year in and year out unless they faced T before the finals. How many times over the last 6-7 years have they been knocked out of the playoffs by T? How many finals have they made?
  4. This type of thread is like watching re-runs of Brady Bunch. It's the same thing every year and at the end of the season it's the same results for SK. They can't compete with any of the big boys from the Ville and they usually get knocked out of the playoffs pretty early. They are touted year after year as being great only to be disappointed once the post season starts. It doesn't matter who SK schedules.
  5. There seems to be one misconception with turf fields that is being ignored. Some people think once a turf field is put in then it's finished with very little upkeep. Turf fields do not last forever, they need to be replaced usually every 8-10 years and that is where the problem arises. I know that only 4 years ago I noticed SK's field needed to be replaced very badly, I don't know if they have or not but it needed to be replaced then so I can only imagine if it hasn't how bad it is today. Replacing the turf isn't cheap either, so it's easy to say that every school should have field turf, but once it's installed how are you able to afford replacing it every 8-10 years? Just something I thought I'd mention since it has been widely ignored over the years on here when Field Turf is discussed.
  6. Kind of looking forward to week 7 of their season next year. My son and Jerod will get to play against eachother. Two former Cooper players playing against eachother for the first time at the next level.
  7. Seems to be the annual question at Cooper this time of year lol. Coach Borchers has a knack at getting the best out of his signal callers every year though. This will be the 5th straight season with a 1st time varsity starting signal caller for the Jags. I would love for a Sophmore to step up and win the job just so we could have a 3 year starter at that position which would be awesome.
  8. Wasn't SK 5 and Cooper 15th last week? Curious why they are both in same spots this week.
  9. That's like saying if Cooper would have played better then Cooper would have won by 100. Seriously, give credit where credit is due for once when your team loses.
  10. It's all good. Hopefully in the future you may not want to disrespect other teams like you did. Cooper being ranked in the state and with one of the best players in the area deserves a little more respect than you like to give. That's all.
  11. By a lot apparently and no one else is close.
  12. Yea but I also didn't disrespect their competition in the process.
  13. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahajajajajajajajajajajaj
  14. You weren't just wrong. You weren't even close!!! Embarrassing is more like it.
  15. One of the most underrated QB's in the state picked up an offer today from Georgetown College. Jerod led all QB's in NKY as well as one of the leaders in the state with over 3000 yards passing and over 30 passing TD's this past season in his only year starting for the Jag's in his senior year. I wish him the best and think it's a great fit for him. Congrats Jerod!
  16. Braydon has been kind of flying under the radar for those outside the Cooper community. I think this may have been his coming out party. He has been a major key to the Jags success while the 2 McNeil's were out. Braydon and Dante Hendrix both had to step up as they both did admirably so that Kunkle wasn't the only guy teams could key on. This should get interesting to see how teams handle Cooper from here on out with both McNeils back, they know they now have 5 starters that can impact a game big time.
  17. Great fit and so happy for Sander!! He will be great on either O-Line or D-Line for the Tigers
  18. It means if you asked me before the season started that Cooper would lose by only 3 points with their top scorer out due to injury and their starting PG also out due to injury I would have said CCH would win by double digits.
  19. I did not expect the game to be this close with both McNeil's out. Coach Sully coached a heck of a game. Loved that my next door neighbor scored the 3 to tie it up at the end.
  20. I think the reasoning is two fold. 1. I really do believe the competition in NKY has improved a lot in the last 5+ years so CCH can now start scheduling teams in their own backyard more which helps everyone involved. 2. They couldn't keep scheduling GCL type of schools because the beat downs weren't really helping them out at all. Wether it be emotionally or physically, they were getting destroyed and coming out no better than they went into the games.
  21. Same way a QB who was #1 on KHSAA for the year didn't make any of the teams either. Just as PP92 mentioned, a big part of it is name recognition. He now has his name out there. If he continues next season with a similar type of season as this year he will be mentioned. No one knew of him coming into the year. Name recognition is 80% of it when it comes to recognition for awards etc.
  22. CCH will be fine. Happens to every team. Probably will come out better than before.
  23. So I was right...kinda
