One of the players told me it is Brady Gosney Vs. Luke Meyer for the QB job, and in his opinion, Gosney may have a slight edge. I have not seen them practice this summer, but hear from a buddy whose son is on the team that practices are going well with continued high attendance etc.

Saw him twice last year and Wagner can play, but hey I think there is most likely someone in NKY whose name was not even mentioned that deserves a Top 5 rank... For example, I have not seen the QB from Beechwood and I have heard he is very good. So who knows?

Recently, the Kicker and punter duties were handled by 2 different players, but the coaches will play whomever is best and if that is 1 guy or 2 so be it. Also, I think punting is seen as a defensive play to some extent, therefore Coach Weinrich most likely chooses the punt team. Conversely, PAT and FG is an offensive down and those units are put together by Coach Mueller. That being said, I am sure several coaches opine based on things they see in practice as well.

Agreed. WR Justin Weyer comes to mind when I read "smart guys". He has quality hands, can run, make the tough catch, and is an all-around good athlete to go along with him just being a fantastic teammate!

The difference is, this year he may be telling the truth!

I am thinking we may see less running from the QB position this season. I gotta think the backfield starts with Harris and Hayes and goes from there. I fully expect to see Dougherty to kick and punt this year. Even if it might not begin that way it may end up that way. I can also see Dougherty getting some carries on Friday too, but if not, he will be top running option on JV. I expect to see more bone rattling hits from Cowboy Abner on the defensive side of the ball. Add in Hits from Wrobleski, Urlage, Murray, among many others. Hope will anchor a strong D-line and the father-son Scott Turner combo will lead a veteran O-line! I see Nick True to play good at TE. A couple of guys I am looking fwd to watching that played mostly JV last yr are Bo Hebel & Beau Hoge. Hebel has the ability to dominate on the line and Hoge was as exciting as it gets last yr on offense flashing some Hamblen like moves. I have been looking fwd to Houliston playing QB for a couple of seasons now as well! The problem with a reply like mine is that this team has many other quality guys that will contribute that I failed to mention...Schweitzer, E. Allen, Saunders, Schoepf among them. Hopefully, JOAT, Sweep, or TDYballgame can pick up where I left off.

No, the old scoreboard will be gone. Also, the new scoreboard will continue to be operated from the press box, but the video board will be controlled from the media room (some pre-2000 grads may know this as the old chorus room) which is located behind the HHS sidelines.
