You guys are twisting my words into knots.. I never said they were JV kids. Never said they weren't any good. Simply stated that this week is going to be much different than previous weeks for your flyers.. I'll say it again, conner is the best team you guys have played thus far. Timmons will not be open every time, nor will he score every carry. The "other" guys, as you all were referring to them are going to have to step up in critical game time. I think the statement made is far from "ridiculious"... What I'm saying is that other than Woodside and Timmons, who are two excellent football players, they really don't have anyone who will pose a huge threat. Sure the other guys have lots of TD's. And Im sure most of them came in games that were well out of hand due to the fact that Woodside and Timmons got FC out to a huge lead. So to comment on your statement about them scoring in JV games.. That could be partly correct. Will these other guys be able to step up when it counts? FC is not going to be able to simply line up and 'out-speed' or 'out-athlete' Conner this week. Timmons isn't going to be open every time, or score on every carry, FC has not played a team as good as Conner all year long. Other people will have to step up when it counts this week. I havent seen Franklin Co yet this year, but I know their schedule, and who they play.. Not a very difficult schedule, and this will hurt them.

That would be pretty impressive if FC scored every 20 seconds.. I honestly believe Conner has too many weapons for FC to stop. On the other side of the ball, from what I understand Franklin Co is pretty much a 2 man show with Woodside and Timmons. I don't see FC's defense being able to stop enough of Conner's weapons to win this game. If they stop two of them, there are still 4 others that are more than capable of having huge games.

To my knowledge I think if you are 19 before your senior year you cannot play. I could be wrong. I do know that once a kid turns 21, they aren't allowed to be enrolled in traditional high school classes. When conner played Scott, they had 6-7 starters out. Including Fogle. If Conner plays Scott at full strength, that game is not nearly as close as it was. They played an almost perfect defensive game against Cooper, regardless of weather conditions they held Covington Catholic to 12 points. The Conner defense is not as bad as the numbers make them look. They have a lot of athletes on that side of the ball, who are capable of making big plays. In the post, if you look at it there are * next to the second round results. The * indicates the second round records since the current set up began in 1991. So they are 0-7 in second round games since 1991. What they did in the 70's does not fit into this category.

Camps and combines are a far bigger part of recruiting than you think. Clearly, you are the one who doesn't know much about recruiting. Camps and combines are how kids get initial exposure. If I am not I mistaken Drew Barker from Conner received multiple offers based upon his camps performance. Many of his offers came before the schools even saw him in game action. Without taking the time to look it up. He's probably sitting at 1400 or more yds combined between rushing and recieving. This isn't counting his probably 200+ return yardage. he's one of the tops in the state. He's only played 9 games. He did not play against Grant Co, or Scott. HUGE stat padding games. At one point this year he was averaging 19 yards per catch, and 13 yards per rush..

Not positive on this answer.. All I know is that he has options. And yes, I agree he is fun to watch. His 10-12 touches a game generally are all the Cougars need due to the fact that 2 or 3 of them go for big gains/scores. Added to the fact that Barker is normally good for 3 or 4 TD's himself. I personally enjoy watching him play free safety and or corner, (well anytime he's on the field really). His closing speed is nasty, opposing QB's think their guy is open, and out of nowhere comes #22 and he either picks it, or knocks it down, definition of a ball hawk. He did it twice in the Cooper game earlier this year. But IMO the one he had against Cov Cath last week was the best. Came out of thin air and dove to make the INT. If it was on a tv screen he would have came from out of the picture. Impressive kid.

Are you asking about Timmons? He plays WR/Slot reciever.. To my knowladge no, that is not true.. I believe he has interest in going there, but they have not made an offer. He does have several offers, as does their QB. 4 D1 recruits that will be playing in the same game Friday night, 2 on each team.

Nasty weather had a lot to do with that one.. Unless for some reason Franklin Co's field is a swamp on friday night, I don't see either team scoring less than 40 pts.. If you watched the USC vs Oregon game tonight, that is probably what the Conner vs Franklin Co game is going to look like. (Oregon beat USC 62-51)

I am not sure that Drew threw for a TD.. I know He ran for 3, Fogle ran for 3 and Quinn Campbell ran for 1. Having #29 back in the lineup for Conner makes a huge difference. McKeehan had his "coming out party" last year against Franklin Co. with over 200 yds rusing and 3 TD's i believe.. Hopefully he and the others on the Cougar offense can replicate last year's efforts this Friday night.

Im guessing with 300 yds of total offense, they fell apart in the red zone? were there many turnovers? Crazy to think that a team putting up that many yards only comes away with 10 points.

The SK vs CC game should be a good one rematch of an earlier district seeding game. South Oldham and Cooper also have a rematch of an earlier season game.. This one has potential to be exciting as well.. Conner vs Franklin Co will be the most exciting IMO, rematch of last year's 2nd round with Conner scoring 84 pts and setting multiple offensive state records. All three good games. I am picking Campbell Co by 14. South Oldham avenges their earlier season loss against Cooper with a 7 point win. I'm not even going to attempt a prediction of the Conner vs Franklin Co game, however I will say Conner wins in a high scoring offensive showcase..
