  1. You were very clear that you don't care who the flag was thrown on.. I got it the first time, no need to repeat it. The point is there was no penalty committed by either team, thus the reason the officials didn't throw a flag. You seem to be having a difficult time grasping that concept. 2. Again, you are cracking me up. Classless? There is nothing classless about a team not taking a knee to show in your words "respect".. Now if they were cheering, and high fiving, that would be classless. They huddled on the numbers, like your supposed to, got water, and waited for the kid to walk off the field. That is pretty standard operating procedure in my book. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner
  3. You are laughable tonight.. Win with style? What's your thought on the bush league move by Cooper coming onto Conner's side of the field to run through the cheerleaders? Was that "coming onto the field with style"? Or did you miss that? Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner
  4. Someone is a little testy tonight.. Calm down buddy, a flag wasn't thrown because there really wasn't a penalty committed. The kids helmet wasn't ripped off under a pile, there wasn't even a pile, the kid was standing up.. The pushing and shoving was quickly stopped, nobody was kicked. And your point about player safety.. The helmet needs to be strapped on tight, so it doesn't come off. Your team got beat, no reason to insinuate that Conner was dirty.. 5. Agree with queen of pink here. I think the Cooper players coming to the Conner side of the field to run through the cheerleaders was total bush league. That move was uncalled for the and definitely didn't work.. I would expect to hear things about the officiating from the Cooper faithful, because their team got beat. Conner has never been a dirty team, and wasn't tonight. They played physical and aggressive. They not only beat Cooper on the score board, but they beat them up with their play. The Cooper boys will be sore tomorrow. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner
  6. There were no flags thrown because what you mentioned is not what happened. I'll explain it as clearly as it happened.. Nobody kicked anyone.. If two players both kicked someone in the head they would have been thrown out of the game. Yes there was some pushing and shoving, initiated by Cooper, I will add, but there were no punches thrown, and most certainly no kicks.. I had a clear line of sight to the incident, because I was standing in the bleachers on the Conner side of the field. It happened right in front of me. And that "score" that you are scratching your head over.. The Cooper player's knee was down before he reached the ball towards the goal line. They got that call right. At first I thought they may have called a fumble, but his knee was clearly down before the ball crossed the goal line, and before it came out. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner
  7. Conner's offensive and defensive lines played fantastic tonight. Controlled the line of scrimmage. Cooper did not have an answer for Barker or Fogle. Fogle again, had another huge night. Three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Showed his speed on TD runs of 60 and 40 yards, once he gets in the open he's gone. #31 and #7 for Cooper played good games as well. #8 was a non factor. Conner showed a lot of emotion tonight, and proved that they can stop a good offense. They were gang tackling, swarming to the ball. Great win for Conner, They beat a good Cooper team. Let's put the "Cooper is the better team" talks to bed. They were out matched and outplayed tonight. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner
  8. It's tough to unlearn something, if it's not drilled over and over in practices.
  9. "Arm Tackling" is an epidemic and it needs to be stopped.. I have seen several high school games this season, and the tackling is flat out awful. I agree there is very little hitting at practices, probably due to all of the concussion talks on ESPN, and, trying to keep kids from getting hurt at practice. Trying to keep kids from being hurt in practive is going to cause them to get hurt in a game. If they are not taught to tackle properly, they will not be able to execute properly. I think the lack of tackling drills and "full go" practices will, in the end, lead to more injuries on Friday nights. Just my two cents..
  10. I pulled this from a separate thread. This is junior season highlights Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner

  12. I would like to throw a NKY guy into this conversation. Cameron Fogle (6'0" 200lbs) from Conner is having an equally impressive season. Last Friday he had 400 all purpose yards and 6 touchdowns. Including an 85 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. On the season (5 games) he's got almost 700 yards receiving, and close to 400 rushing. Not sure on his return yardage, but it's at least 200. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner
  13. That was funny.. You've got some good stuff rolling today.. Don't let that compliment go to your head though.
  14. C'mon man.. I started to get your back, a little bit, in the SK V Campbell Co thread.. Don't bring SK talk into this thread.. Keep it in the thread where it belongs..
  15. I'm pretty sure Packman was making a comment about the Highlands V Covington Catholic 'rivalry thread' being nothing complared to this thread. I don't think he was saying either team is better or worse than HHS or CCHS
  16. If this situation arrises, I'll get in UK#1Fans corner, (as long as he promises not to use that ridiculious 'smiley face' at the end of every sentance).. He won't have to fight that battle by himself. Although it will be a loosing battle, I never want to see someone get ganged up on..
  17. And it's only Tuesday. Wait until Thursday or Friday.. BGP may crash
  18. No I am basing my prediction on the fact that Conner has superior playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, and will score more points than Cooper. Cooper is "thin" as many have said, and have shown that they begin to run out of gas late in the game, I do not think they will be able to keep up with Conner late in the game.
  19. I haven't heard anything about it, however it could be a possibility considering The Gamecocks will be in Lexington to destroy the Wildcats on Saturday.
