I would go with Tom at Bishop Brossart. He does things the right way and the girls will give 110% for him, he is a class act. He also has a showcase of coaches helping him, including: Mel...which he has teaching fast pitch since it was originated! By far the best athletic director around. Ashley... She was a college catcher and has a vast knowledge of the game. The other Ashley... She was a past player that decided to pass her knowledge of the game to the girls, and she also helps out with the pitching along with running the jv team. And last but not least, Dawn... She runs the Freshman team and keeps the talent pool going. Hands down, best coaching STAFF around:ylsuper:

No, unfortunately the beginning games will all be make up games for most teams, unless you are playing in Florida:cry:

I totally agree. I wish the Camels the best of luck this year. I also hope Owenfives daughter has much success, she is a great kid.

I wouldn't say intimidating is the correct word to use. There are moves and holds that a girl should not be in on the mat with a boy, for everyone to see. I have a daughter, and I would not put her in that situation. Girls are not real common in wrestling. You may see a couple at a wrestling match. I think most of the problem the boys have wrestling girls, is that the fear of losing. Who would want to be that boy on the mat, one on one, that loses to a girl. Wrestling is alot of pressure on a kid, phisically and mostly mentally. Think about it.

I agree with wrestling being second fiddle to basketball. Even at CC, where wrestling is the top sport. Not sure why you have the bb players that can't cut it wrestling. It is rare to have a bb player wrestle at CC. They won't ever stick their head in the wrestling room door, let alone wrestle.

My kid wrestles for Campbell Co. We had about 32 wrestlers at the middle school level and probably 2 used to play basketball. The quote about wrestlers are kids that got cut from the basketball team, is totally false. Wrestling is a different animal in itself.

I would say 6 out of their 9 can really smoke the ball.

lawnboy mentioned her in the top ten pitchers. It really doesnt matter though, when a team wins 26 games, they have to have good pitching. Brossart is a very good TEAM and all of them are great in my opinion.

Their pitcher is my favorite. As a Freshman, started every game but 4. Awesome pitch selection, does a very nice job. Has a ton of pop in her bat as well!
