I think you missed the point, my point, HHS has kids transfer there just to play football. Not saying it's a crime. It shows how successful the program is and parent support. Didn't Collinsworth buy a bus or something to travel a few years ago? It should be a something that HHS is proud of instead of playing it down like it doesn't happen.

According to other posts, no student goes to a schools just for athletics. It's all about the academics. I guess the schools would have to turn down the athlete because it's all about academics.:lol:

I'm sure it's not the only reason. Educational success has more to do with home and the student than it has to do with school system. State curriculum is taught at all public schools.

I'm sure there have been more than than listed. There's is nothing wrong with the way HHS is doing things. It just makes scratch my head when supporters of the program act as if, kids don't move there to play football.

That is your case, but there as some who have moved for football..

The post reads as if, no one comes to HHS to play football..If that's not the way he meant it, then I apologize.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on open enrollment. I think if "ALL" Districts in the state of Kentucky participated in open enrollment that aloud students to attend whichever school they wanted within their district, maybe we would not see the dominance in sports by the same teams. There would be a few more to compete against them. IMO, it's unfair that some of your powerhouse schools are benefiting from this and others aren't.

So are you dismissing the fact that really good players flock to the school that wins? I know for a fact, kids may move or live with a relative or even a non relative just to play for a certain team. Therefore, talent is being taken away from their district school that may level the playind field somewhat.

It's hard to look at players objectively when your kid on the team and sometimes it gets it the way of doing what's best for the team. Not sure if that was the reason, but I always say after a certain age, there should not be any parents involved in the decision making of the team.
