The visiting Wildcats out-scored Carroll 22-18 in the first quarter and the two teams played essentially even after that in a five-point Gallatin win. The Panthers had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter but missed an open 3-point shot. Gallatin County then iced the win with a pair of free throws with 3.1 seconds left. "It was a real tight game, an exciting game," Carroll County coach Carroll Yager said. "We had four starters in foul trouble in the first half and they hit five 3-pointers in the first quarter. That was really the difference in the game." Both teams shot nearly 50 percent from the floor and had nearly identical turnovers. Gallatin County hit nine 3-pointers to Carroll's four as the only real statistical difference. Dallas Gibson had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead Carroll County while Trey Boles had 13 points and Brandon Stewart scored 12 points and had five assists. I guess I should clarify. Gallatin led til 2min left in the game. They were up substantially most of the game. Scott looked out of sync. Scott started to go into crim for a bit in the last qtr and tied it up. With 1 and 1/2 min left in the game, Scott had the ball and decided to go for 1 shot and turned it over with 30 sec left. Gallatin went for 1 shot, got fouled at 1.6 sec., made the first and missed the second attempt. game over Exactly what happened. Good clarification Justjim.

21 of his 29 points came in the 2nd half.

First off, GC was up by 12 until coach Jones put in his jv team. Jones new GC would have no trouble winning this one so he used the game to get his Jv team some needed floor time. Morgan held Monroe to around 10 points I believe. So....the reason no one from GC posted anything about this scrimmage game was because it was not of ant importance really.

I'm looking forward to seeing the matchup of Morgan and Monroe. Should be a good one.
