Two years in a row that Bourbon almost upset a heavyweight in the regional tourney. Last season Mason and now Campbell.

It's a popular topic to gripe about, but as @Goldsunrise always points out, if they want to come to your school of choice, are you going to turn them away?

Definitely don't think at this level does championships automatically equate to one being a better coach than the other. Yes, it does absolutely look better on their resume. Again, at this level, if we remove players of recent memory such as Lofton(Chris), Miller, Bach, Knowles, Zollo, Belchers(the players), etc, etc, etc, from their coaches rosters, then odds are their championship totals look a lot different.

Speaking of coaches and as a bit of a side note, a lot has been said on different threads about Augusta's success over the last few years and the role Hinson and now Kirk had in that success, but I would like to point out that the common denominator amongst them both was/is the assistants there.

You're right. I'm sure Allen Feldhaus Sr and Kelly Wells would be proud of Biggs doing that great job you referred to of beating Bracken Co., this year.

....and the beauty of this thread is I could say Code and others could have won a regional championship with the 05 Pendleton team, and like you can't prove anything.

If Mason beating Bracken now qualifies as a good coaching job, then I'd say a team that has won 2 state championships in the last decade and a half should probably figure out a way to raise the bar.

So, if Bracken's girls could barely dribble, how would your game plan been successful?

Teams have peaks and valleys. Three years ago they were beat by Augusta in the district, a team they had dismantled earlier in the year. Then last year played the number 6 team in the state to 3 points in the district. Augusta boys had a great run. But I wouldn't say the program is spiraling downward. I have a feeling you know these things all too well though.

Wouldn't say I'm a faithful follower, but close enough to those who are. I believe the answer to your question was answered in my reply to your post on a different thread last week. This program and the previous coaches benefited the last 5 seasons of having the most prolific girls player in its history. They returned one double digit scorer from last seasons teams. Not sure what the expectations would have been.

To be fair, I never mentioned discipline. Just like to stick with facts and not assumptions and insinuations.

I understand. And with all due respect, it's not fair to assume that it's absolutely a joke she doesn't start when, admittedly you do not know why.

Just curious, do you know(not speculation) why she's not starting?
