Freshman. Been in a couple school systems but appears to have settled in at BCHS before baseball season started as a friend's son played JV ball against him a couple weeks ago. As for the Fookes rumor, I have heard she is retiring from teaching but staying on as coach.

Maybe she is taking time to dedicate to her son's sports now.

Must be tough to be as miserable as you are.

Nice work tonight by the Pandas. Sadly for Hannah Sullivan her 2 run home run was called a double because of those lovely temporary fences. It was a great hit! Sparked a fire under her teammates though and we took the lead. Still say future is bright in Ft. Thomas. Coach Coffey is doing great work out there. Just make sure not to miss the giant in stealth mode covering 3rd She would have taken him out too in order to get that base runner. Thank you to Highlands for recognizing ND seniors Mickey & Meredith, especially when Highlands doesn't even have any seniors!

I was at this game... Game 2 of the day: Haylee pitched & went 2-4. Blame JMU for her only batting .750 for the day. He left game early for some quality movie time with his wife and Haylee's bat went downhill!! Hitting coaches are supposed to stick it out You're welcome LB for the updates! Congrats again on the 8th grade sports award!! I still think it was due to Mom's genes rather than yours. :lol:

I got my text updates from the hubby. Doesn't happen often so am grateful when I do get them. Game 1 of day: I do know Abby pitched, Haylee caught. Haylee went 4-4 with I believe 6 RBI

NKYFan The Notre Dame softball team defeated Ryle 2-1 last night to remain undefeated in 9th Regional play and make a bold assertion that they are the team to beat inNorthern Kentucky now. A position that has been held by Ryle in recent memory, the brilliant piece of work that Panda head coach Joe Stephenson has put together in closing the talent gap was exhibited last night as Notre Dame showcased that Ryle’s dominance in the sport is now an afterthought. Panda Sophomore Haley Smith was the star last night, outpitching counterpart Ali Crupper by striking out seven and allowing just one run on four hits. The win moved her 2013 record on the mound to 10-1 on the season; tops in Northern Kentucky. Notre Dame captain’s Mickey Terry and Laura Finke provided the RBI’s for the Pandas – Terry’s in the 4th inning and Finke’s in the 5th. As the Raiders have been known to do, they rallied in the 7th inning and did score one thanks to a Hannah Brumbach infield RBI, but Smith closed the door to secure a rewarding victory over her former coach and teammates. With the win, Notre Dame leapfrogs Ryle in the nkyFAN top 10 as the new top-ranked team inNorthern Kentucky. While this is a team that is really good with freshman Abby Jones on the mound, Smith catching and Finke and Smith’s bats working, what really separates them from the rest of the competition is Smith on the mound – and that was on full display Friday night.

Have to give some credit to LB. He stood on ND side and we faired well. Maybe he's our good luck charm and everyone else's Schleprock?
