You feed your line about not being a dig to anyone that will listen & slow enough to actually buy it. However, with multiple posts re my daughters pitching performance and moving to ND to pitch and then this last little quip, I find it as a pathetic dig at a teenage girl. If that makes you feel better about yourself, make sure you aren't a candidate for the open coaching position. I'm sure most of the parents want a positive change and not a repeat!

Hmmm first off I don't believe anyone said anything about Ali's pitching, so let's not try to make this out to be sour grapes that has anything to do with a Ryle player. But yes, congratulations to her, she is a fantastic pitcher and an even better young lady!!! And you may think the dig about best pitcher hurts, it really doesn't. Makes me laugh at people like you & know that karma will bite you just as it has the Oliverios. And how many girls were crying? I heard it was more like a couple & was the kids of the parents that were all in....could it be obligatory cries?? Guess no one will TRULY ever know. Take a poll of the entire team, now that they are gone I bet the truth is told!

Maybe.....time will tell. And I would certainly hope Ryle wants to have a solid program, that's the ultimate goal of all athletic programs, isn't it?

During my daughters time there we didn't encounter "entitled parents and athletes." Perhaps there are but we were only involved with softball & basketball. As a coach you are always going to have the parents that believe little Johnny & Susie are better than they are and should start or have more playing time. That's why coaching takes a rare breed. One that can diffuse that or can tolerate the headache without it affecting their coaching.

I would think someone that wants to build a respectable program. They have decent talent returning next year and who knows how many others that have opted not to play until the recent news.

With no other coaches involved in the current softball program, who are the likely candidates to apply? Should the rumors be true that current staff isn't returning.....

LB, how do you choose to pick the f-bomb comment to focus on? Skim over the actual issue that Pick6 and I have talked about on here several times...personal attacks, demeaning comments, intimidation, bullying? You think I am worried about my daughter having the f-bomb said to her? You think being pushed to do well is the issue at hand with Patti (either in basketball or softball)? No!! My kid pushes herself harder than Patti could ever begin to think about pushing her. It is the verbal attacks or the verbal bashing done to players either about themselves or their teammates that is wrong, along with so many other things too long to mention. Always has been wrong, always will be wrong. Unfortunately it has been accepted as the "coaching norm" by most and excuses continue to be made for coaches like Patti. I know she's not done anything personal to you or to your daughter. I felt the same way when I was pre-warned by several about her coaching style before Haylee played for her. I said "well she hasn't done that to us".....guess what, it eventually happens! Her other whipping girls were gone and the intimidation had to fall on someone. Guess once you are in the program for 4 years, they figure you are good to go with the treatment and can do/say what they want at will. Bet they see now that doesn't work in this house. Yet their egos were too big to admit fault when we first addressed this directly with them. They are not at fault for anything, really sit down and talk to them for longer than your delivery route probably affords you and you'll catch on.....or better yet, see if NCC will hire them & bring along their winning ways. Then get back to me on how you think things are going couple years from now. Just do me a favor, please stop skimming over the actual coaching issue some people have with her; either address it all or not at all.

I must have missed some posts because I don't recall anyone saying this years success lies solely with Spencer.
