Congratulations to the Newport High School LadyCats Softball Team's sophomore pitcher Katlyn Hoeh. Katlyn recorded her 500th career strike out on Tuesday, May 14 against the Highlands Lady Bluebirds.

With her 500th strike outs, she has set a school record for career strike outs for the LadyCats to go along with her other school pitching records in career and season wins, strike outs, and ERA. Way to go Katlyn!

Great job, Congrats to the young lady !

Just think how many more K' s she would have if they played more games, solid player all around.

If I had to guess I would bet the Newport's program did not have 500 K's before this young lady started pitching for them.

What I'm impressed with is that she is a sophomore with 2 more years to add to this record.
