Since it has been announced that Patty is no longer going to coach basketball at Ryle is it safe to say she will step aside for softball also? If so what becomes of Ryle? I believe Ryle has won the 9th 3 out of her 4 years coaching with a real good chance to win it again. I know a lot of people have their issues with Patty and her husband but you can't argue with their success.

 

So lets thow some possibilites out there...

 

Would Union's favorite daughter (Haylee Smith) return home to try and save the school where she was once such a proud member of, sending NDA back into mediocrity?

 

Would Andy Petridis finally make the region with Boone and bolt for Ryle?

 

Would the Knotts family leave Boone for Ryle if Boone doesn't win the region for a chance for a head coaching job?

 

Would the Knotts family leave Boone bc coach Petridis is to short?

 

Would Coach Coffy up and leave the birds for higher softball grounds? If so how many recruits would he take with him?

 

Would Mel Webster leave the stang so he has a real shot at going to state and having every member of his team all state?

 

Word on the street is there is drama in Cougar land would coach Koors be interested?

 

How about Holy Cross's coach Lee Meeks? The Indians have been mentioned as being the most improved team in the region.

 

Coach Freedom Fogt has to be coach of the year, does she leave St Henry to get the premier softball job in NKY, if she does the Union resturants sure would do better with her husband in the area.

How about Kirsten Allen, has she returned to Union? Would she have interest?

Haylee Smith has had too much success in both basketball and softball at ND to ever consider returning to Ryle. However, if the Oliverio’s had left at the end of last year she would probably still be there, and ND would still be an average softball team and Ryle would still be dominating NKY teams. IMO she has proved that she is the best pitcher in NKY and still has two more years to go. ND should definitely be the favorite to win the region this year.

 

Petridis - a possibility, maybe. If so maybe the Knotts family would follow him just because he is so short.

 

Knotts – Maybe he gets the job and hires Petridis and Lawnboy as his assistant coaches. Then he wouldn’t have to worry about who does the stats and could get Lawnboy’s daughter to transfer.

 

Coffy – Great coach and would be a great hire for anyone, but not a chance he leaves Highlands.

 

BGH – Just imagine their stats. Not just all state, maybe all world.

 

Koors – There always seems to be drama at Conner, but they are always in the regional finals. She stays put.

Kirsten Allen – Would be a great choice. Is she available?

 

Freedom Fogt – Would be a good choice. I would think it would be a nice pay increase for her too and I am sure they would throw in some discount coupons to the local restaurants for her husband. She should definitely be a candidate for coach of the year. That would be a good topic for a new thread.

 

Lawnboy – Seems to be a good choice, but would they pay him more to coach softball than he makes driving a truck for Fed Ex? I am sure he could teach physical education or something. At least he wouldn’t have to pay tuition anymore. Seriously I don’t think he would have the time to be a head coach and still keep up with all the stats and write ups he does and with all the time he spends on BGP, and I have a feeling he would not give those things up. Just ask his wife.

 

As for myself, I am not sure I am qualified to coach a high school team. However, I think Redtruck would be a good choice. He seems to know a lot about the game and has so much more insight than most of us.

Wouldn't be my first choose but from the outside looking in I guess it does look pretty good. Two totally different teams this year from last, and yet HC's best win this year may be Cooper so I am not sure they have really done a whole lot.

In the interest of maintaining a competitive balance in the region, I would have to respectfully decline. I would feel bad dominating my fantasy football league AND high school softball.
