How bad is the Syracuse situation going to get?

Those tapes are disturbing. -
Just heard they have some of those "UK #1" shirts hot off the press, similar to the '09-'10 model! :jump:

Not sure if I've heard any sort of statement from the law enforcement officers in response to this. If I'm not mistaken, the video attached above is the second one I've seen of this man ranting about how inept the law enforcement officers are. Anyone know of any sort of response/retaliation from the other side? -
Fantasy Football Advice: Week 11
Zlatan replied to UKMustangFan's topic in National Football League (NFL)
Kendall Hunter. Playing against a weak D-Line with Gore splitting carries, it's likely this game gets out of hand. This could turn into a pound the ball with Hunter type of deal, especially considering Zona's main defensive threat is the rookie Peterson playing in the secondary. -

This game goes one of two very different ways. I predict either Highlands by 35 or CCH by 2. Maybe not fair to take two positions on a prediction thread, but I see it going one way or the other here.

UK in a tight one until Teague hits key free throws down the stretch. 78-72.

NBA and NBPA have reached a deal - Tentatively

Really? Multiple years in the league making multi-million dollar amounts? I don't care how high your standard of living is, you can "make it" with asset values like that. -
I happened to be in Nashville for this one and got a chance to attend LP Field. Nice stadium, definitely, but the production value of their jumbo-trons and and crowd pump-up "gimmicks" were really pretty poor IMO. Aside from that, a great place to watch a game, if you ask me. One of the most promising things I saw was their second half attitude. Could have been very easy for Dalton, Green, and the likes to cave in down 10 going into half time, their opponent having momentum, and it being in their house. They, instead, came out and played an awesome second half. Young teams don't ordinarily do things like that, especially against contenders in their own house, like the Titans. Great performance, and this Sunday will be VERY telling.

Awesome run by the Cards. Congratulations. In reference to the posts above about the two brothers getting tickets: if we're thinking of the same two brothers who are good friends of mine, they couldn't be bigger St. Louis fans. Can't wait to hear from them how insanely incredible tonight was for them. Tip of the hat.

Ice in their veins. Wow. Could not imagine what it's like to be a Cards fan tonight, let alone for the last 2 months. -
Fantasy Team Expectations
Zlatan replied to Fantasy Phenom's topic in National Football League (NFL)
I don't know many people that necessarily tell me, "Yeah I expect 95 this week." Projections are for weenies. Too much of a question mark from even the most consistent producers. I don't hope for any number, except for one point more than my opponent. -
How is your Fantasy Team Doing?
Zlatan replied to MJAlltheWay24's topic in National Football League (NFL)
No, I would not do that. I understand the tiered player approaches and looking at it from the, "Well QB's are very similar points-wise from #3-#10 that it doesn't matter much, but I just think you shouldn't for two reasons. 1) Mendenhall has one direction to go -- up. He's been pretty weak, but I think with him finally getting healthier, he'll start putting up 2010-2011 numbers. 2) Brady is too solid a producer and Tebow is way too big of a question mark, IMO. I am usually not one to take the stance you shouldn't trade away QB's, but I just feel you're getting a question mark injury wise (Gore) putting a big question mark at QB (Tebow), and giving away a gem in Brady. -

I made a trade with a member of my league the week before the Texans played the Steelers and before Foster was back in action -- QB - Rivers RB - Best WR - Maclin FOR RB - Foster WR - White -
Bengals cruise in this one, 24-7.

Some nice squads out there, certainly. I'm only in 2 leagues that I have time to pay serious attention to, and I am 5-2, 5-2 in them. My money league is shaping up very nicely if Roddy can keep on pace. QB - Ben Roethlisberger RB - Adrian Peterson RB - Arian Foster (acquired through trade) RB/WR - J. Stewart / L. Blount WR - Calvin Johnson WR - Roddy White (acquired through trade) TE - A. Hernandez / D. Clark K- Hanson D/ST - Play it by match-up -
Carson Palmer traded to the Raiders
Zlatan replied to Big Slick's topic in National Football League (NFL)
In regard to the MNF schedule, I started a thread earlier this year before the season started about the absolutely pitiful schedule they have planned this year (not to mention few of the potentially good match-ups got foiled by a Peyton Manning-less Colts). I am with Blue Magic. I don't see a plausible argument for the Bengals-Raiders in a MNF game not being a good match-up. Americans loves their revenge stories, and this has the potential for either the city that threw franchise quarterback away or that franchise quarterback having his way with the Queen City. -

I will believe all the Bengals hype this season after they get into their big divisional games. I've never claimed to be a Bengals fan, but I'll say that this has the potential to be a turn-around moment for the franchise. For the first time in a long time, Mike Brown has made an outside of the box decision dedicated to the positive outlook of the franchise (besides draft choices, etc.). I'm excited to see what this young team can do with their draft picks. I fully expect them to have Buccaneer 2010-2011 like success and produce a young and dangerous team. Not saying they're not dangerous yet, but I just feel like with the teams they've beaten so far (combined 7-17 record I believe, with 4 of those wins coming from a Cinderella Bills team) don't warrant getting excited for anything close to a playoff run until they prove themselves against the few big guns in their schedule. Those big guns happen to practically all come in the form of division rivals. -
I thought the reaction was odd from Harbaugh. I understand the excitement of winning the game, but you don't see other coaches jumping up and down legitimately sprinting to the handshake grabbing the opposing coach's hand as if he's a leper then sprinting away again. Just plain bizarre on Harbaugh's part IMO. Schwartz reacted like a punk, too. I guess a couple of coaches with teams experiencing rebirth.
