  1. No doubt this game could go either way, but I am taking LSU. Will be close early, but in the end LSU wins comfortably...perhaps a by 10 to 14 or more. LSU is the more complete team, meaning they have all the parts in place with less weaknesses to take advantage of. Also they have big time playmakers defensively. I just give them a slight edge...the ability to break a close game open with a play or two. Not that Alabama can't, but LSU has more that can...if that makes sense. It will be fun to watch. If anything it will give the nation an opportunity to see the best college football in the nation - the SEC!
  2. Right on que...and later in the season, when they are clearly not "in the top ten", then you can do your "blame it on the coaches thing".
  3. That didn't matter for Barak Obama. He couldn't articulate much at all, unless using a teleprompter, and still got elected.
  4. "Now you can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a ladies man, no time to talk."
  5. Just read through this thread, and I have only one observation. Since the devil is the father of lies, and lying is his native tongue, I can't say I would listen or believe anything his helper would have to say either...just saying.
  6. This one will be ugly...Highlands by 7 touchdowns, 49 points.
  7. And one more thought...since Thomas Jefferson is not able to become a BGP member and join the fun, I thought I would post his comment for him. “A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.” – Thomas Jefferson
  8. The problem, I believe, would be if the son who was enrolled in the school, did not live there at the rented residence. I could be wrong but I think that where you live is mostly defined by where you "lay your head at night". Certainly it would also be defined by being present at that residence sometimes when a school official shows up to see you. in other words it's not just owning or renting, it's where you literally sleep and stay.
  9. I never said no taxes whatsoever. The current tax system collects far more than enough to fund the military branches. We could cut taxes and still fund the military if there wasn't all the lobbyist, good buddy deals and reckless, selfish unnecessary spending of our congress. Its not a trust issue, it's a responsibility issue. The government doesn't need me to trust them, they just need to have integrity, a servant spirit and be responsible with the people's money. Remember, congress and governmtent work for me and you, the people. We do not work for them. This means that we have a responsibility to hold them accountable. That is the beauty of our country. The check and balance is the people. We have the power to keep things in check and to hold government accountable which is the way it is meant to be. Again, I am not anti tax. We need roads, bridges, and other infrastructure that cost money. I do, however oppose freely giving even more money to those who work for me, that are not good stewarts of what they already have. I choose to hold them accountable, not give them more.
  10. I cannot say I fully agree with you. Our government was never meant to provide us all services. It was meant to be as small as possible. It was designed for a people who were self governed and self sufficient. Charity for those in need was voluntary and through the local church and community, and never meant to be the governments responsibility.
  11. VOR. Do you trust me to take care of people who need help? If so, send me some of your money.
  12. Agreed! Just read through some of the comments and I will change my prediction. Trinity wins 49 to 3.
  13. It looks like I am in the prediction thread a little late. Oh well, here is my prediction. Trinity wins 42 to 7.
  14. I personally don't believe it gives anyone that much of an advantage. And really, what's wrong with letting kids that are otherwise not doing anything active, get in a gym and workout in something they love? If they really want to get in the gym, wouldnt it be more torture to keep them out? When it comes to something I enjoy, I'd rather you tell me I have to do it than to tell me I can't.
  15. There is definitely no clear favorite. Although Ryle at this point, seems to be a favorite for most, I just can't put them as a clear favorite. The field is too close and no one is overly dominant. Even when their is a clear favorite, the past has shown it to still be somewhat unpredictable. For example in 2008 Boone Cty rolled SK at Simon winning by 35, but later in the year, in the play offs, SK beat Boone by a touchdown. In 2010, SK took Ryle into overtime, only to lose by three, a game that any team could have won, but just a few weeks later, Ryle dominated SK when most expected another nail biter. Many times these teams evolve, adjust, game plan or even just play bad. Point being, this thing is still up in the air and may not be decided until after Friday, Oct 21, the night that Ryle plays Dixie at Dixie.
  16. In order for SK to be back to the old SK, it will take far more than one mediocre season. They will need many consecutive losing seasons, with a few of them winless. That would be the old SK. They may get "knocked" for not being "x", "trinity" or any other state championship winning program, but keeping things in perspective, it is incredible the turn around that has happened at SK. Quite honestly, like Marksberry or not, he is the only coach out of all the coaches through the seventies, eighties and nineties to stick with it through very tough times, get kids to commit and begin believing, and successfully turn things around after a whole lot of losing.
  17. Go Cats! They just drove the field...and scored a field goal. 21 - 3 Florida.
  18. Walton Verona has come along way in the last four weeks. NKY.com reported they had 432 yards rushing. This is very impressive against any undefeated team. I would be curious what kind of yardage they held Carroll County to.
  19. I don't think this changes much. The rivalry factor can "muddy the water", but after a couple of weeks thing will start to be clear again.
  20. God definitely knows...and cares. Check out Psalm 139:1-6 1 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.
  21. Well said. And in my opinion, the most important role.
  22. Just another thought...since Coach Bolden is a Christain man, shouldnt he have been happy that the St X fans were claiming Jesus? I mean, being evangelical, you wouldn't want to keep Jesus all to yourself. Maybe he should have started chanting with them....kind of like a "hallelujah" chorus:thumb:
  23. Game may be close for a couple quarters, but in the end Trinity wins by 24.
  24. "I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
