  1. Why parents can't cheer their kids on and stop complaining about officiating is beyond me. Getting kicked out of jr high basketball games, you've got issues. Way to teach your kids. You should be proud. Loser.
  2. See my comments on Gray parents earlier in the thread. Lotta red in the stands for the self-proclaimed next Highlands.
  3. Very good pizza, as a New England native, their pizza can make it anywhere, unlike some large local chains.
  4. I should say, they have to field both boys and girls teams. I can tell you St Agnes is not in the NKMSL.
  5. It's my understanding that assistant coaches are not permitted to talk to referees or argue calls. Do they usually get more T's than the head coach for this reason?
  6. Saw this behavior with Connor 8th grade girls parents and current Ryle freshman girls parents. The trend I see is the better the team, the worse the parents. It's an entitlement to every call going their way. hissing the refs over a call when up 25. Making noise when your kid is shooting free throws. Unacceptable behavior. Just cheer your kid on. The kids take the cues from coaches and parents behavior and it breeds from there. Don't be that parent.
  7. Mike and Mike is an extension is an extension of ESPN's agenda to push certain stories. I am in my car from 6-7am and the first hour of that show is miserable as they beat a topic into the ground. Sports talk radio is always more interesting when they cover things you care about, UC, X, Red, Bengals, etc. The trick though is to have the proper balance between the host, callers and guests having their say.
  8. He has been on team last few years. He can't create his own shot or defend anyone. Great shooter if wide open. It will be interesting to see if he has filled out, put on any pounds/muscle. Otherwise, he may get passed by.
  9. I'll say this, you are seeing more publicity with the VB girls getting schollies. Parents think this is the route to go. In addition, more moms are becoming involved with coaching vball and then steering the kids in that direction. I know at the catholic school level, beyond the fifth grade, teams are having a tough time fielding competitive bball teams as kids are playing/forced to choose vball.
  10. Volleyball threads are down from last year. Most were ND threads started or contributed to by Panda. Enjoy reading them but Panda has been incognito.
  11. Size does not matter. Highlands wins with precision and SPEED. Until the rest figure that out, they all will be playing for second.
  12. Interesting how many of these girls will be playing varsity vball come their senior year. Too much talent in vball tells me 11 freshman vball players won't be playing varsity. You may see some go back to basketball. Those kids may still play club vball and that is where the schollies get offered. So, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  13. Redford can't create his own shot, can't defend and is not a great passer. As others have stated, Redford is in over his head.

  15. Someone mentioned hosts, Alec Baldwin. The guy is unafraid.
  16. This. Darrell Hammond might also be most unappreciated.
  17. Miami would be terrible for him. They don't mess around up there.
  18. Any of the defenders want their quotes back?
  19. Word is he is coming back home, not sure if for good or just the summer.
  20. And so it begins....Not that I have a problem with college kids drinking, but it would have been smart for the kid to keep his nose clean until people had time to forget about his alleged indiscretions. ..Here comes the let's wait comments and other enabling behaviors...Go!
  21. Saw all 8th grade teams in NKY this year and the St Mary's girls were good but not as good as Connor or Gray from what I saw.
