  1. I'm telling you what I heard. I thought it pretty ridiculous but my pal told me that was his full time job. Who would have thought this would be someone's full time job?
  2. A lot. I'm not sure if it's Rolfs or another guy. I was told this one guy does hoops, baseball and maybe softball. 6 figures. It may include assigning AAU games.
  3. Beechwood is the Graceland of Ft Mitchell and Rash is Elvis. Anymore questions?
  4. One thing to remember, that if healthy, Kirkpatrick is like a new addition.
  5. Great job he did considering volleyball is number one and St Henry is a small school, law of numbers.
  6. 3 games, one starter has won two games they won, not enough data. Do they have enough pitching and hitting. Scored a lot of runs vs St X but only 5 hits all singles, I think. Any power?
  7. He's a good man. Had a really young team. Some decent players coming back.
  8. For whom? Them or their kids? Basketball is only part of it. If it truly is the kids decision, I'm all for it.
  9. Noted. I realize there may be other issues, like other schools may play stronger schedules, or the kid may be able to play their natural position rather than be the 6'3 power forward. The fact is that most parents are making their decision on the sport, academics are now a by-product. If the kid is good enough, they are being recognized on the AAU circuit, not the high school team.
  10. KY is not telling him to look elsewhere. It would be his choice. A redshirt year would do him some good to build strength, but I think he's better served redshirting and practicing w the talent KY has coming in. No scholarship issues. I count 10 scholarship players. Subtract Mays, Beckham, Hood, and Noel. You are down to 6. You could take Polson's and down to 5. The numbers will work itself out.
  11. So let me get this straight. Coach is gone because parents may or may not be lunatics with unrealistic expectations after little Johnny dominated the Possum Creek crew, C Division of 3rd grade AAU. Now the three amigos may transfer because the parents may or may not have liked in no particular order, the coach, the administration or the other parents with unrealistic expectations. So, they are willing to dole out 10k+ in tuition, drive their kids a half hour each way to school, all so Ronny, Bobby, Ricky and Mike can better themselves on The Hill and extend their playing careers where? TMC, Mt St Joe?
  12. Skinny was just complimentary of the site...In regards to guests, coaches and players are typically awful interviews, nothing revealing. Skinny and Gamble now have access to national media, information guys, who can speak in quick bits. As long as they don't OD on the NFL, like the ESPN crew, they will be fine, including more coverage of high school and college football.
  13. Gottlieb was a great listen. Knew college and pro hoops. Clear opinions. Poor timing to lose him now.
  14. Truly, part of it is not the Enquirer's fault, they only have so much they can cover. While some post recaps with slanted views of the game, most recaps on BGP provide a lot of info you don't get in a box score the Enquirer would publish. It's certainly worth the $20 to subscribe.
  15. BGP and other sites have replaced the Enquirer for my coverage of sports.
  16. In order; London, Paris to Rome, 10 days Egypt for the Pyramids then on to the holy cities, 7 days China including Great Wall of China, 5 days New Orleans for Mardi Gras, 3 days Grand Canyon 2 days Vegas climaxing at the Mustang Ranch, 3 days
  17. Didn't make it to the game either, but seeing the stats, shutout, BGP'ers tell me she pitched a great game.
  18. It's a matter of style. Small ball only gets you so far. It does not prepare you for hitting against the best teams ace when you really need a hit. Baseball only takes one pitcher to knock anyone out.
