Sorry Rambo but Danville was a BAD football team in 2010. I watch the OC and Danville game from beginning to end. Their D was awful, if I remember correctly the left D end was lining up 3-4 yards off the ball and they were slow which is unusual for a Danville team. Take it however you want, my point is I'm not going to hype a team unless they're darn good. When NCC is down I'm the first to say it and don't get blinded rankings that mean NOTHING! This is year I think NCC is vulnerable, but when I hear about teams with great records that don't play anyone it's entertaining.

I don't care where NCC is ranked! It doesn't matter, they don't need to prove anything, they're ranked 4th.....forget about them they don't have a prayer! Lol! It's funny watching them drop in the state rankings when they lose to 5 and 6a schools. NCC and HC fans know from the past 2 years that they need to take care of business up here b4 they go down state to play undefeated or nearly undefeated teams that had signature wins against one of the county central teams. I JOKE!!!!! Before you get really mad, their are good teams down there, my point is you hear about Glasgow and OC the last 2 years going into the state game and nothing shows up. These rankings don't matter! The games head to head come state time do. It gets old listening to how good teams are when you look at their schedules their is really no way to tell because they play cupcakes all year, that doesn't go for all the teams just most.

Just glad they are recovering at Somerset, glad it wasn't an even worse senario. NCC seems to be hitting their stride.

I agree both players are exciting to watch but losing the offensive weapons from last year as well as the solid D isnt something I think HC can overcome this year. NCC also has much improving to be done and its been a gradual process this year. I think they have been beat up in a way thats going to prove be a huge positive. See you Thursday.

I think all NKY91 is saying is that if someone thinks HC is going to take care of business they probably are misguided,don't know much about football, or is blinded by school pride. A running clock with 10 mins to go in the 3rd quarter against a team that beat HC is the basis of that point. Game is a couple of days away, should be fun......for me at least.

Just hope the cheer at the basketball game isn't NCC cheering about a running clock.

Unfortunately I don't think their is much buzz at this point which isn't good for NCC. I think that's what bit them in the butt last year. After seeing HC it should be one-sided but if I were an HC person that's what I would want NCC to think.

Good point Asher! Nick Rice is great person I just think he could have approached some things differently. TAC the Atkins family is a great resource and I know that's not going anywhere.

Unfortunately when you talk about OC possibly being overrated I think of 2010. The fans almost had me convinced that OC was going to put up 60 in the state game....then the pregame started! Being on the field, not as a player, standing near the OC players. Then i realized their QB was like 5'6 100lbs, their best skill position guy looked good in pads but played terrified after he took 1 big hit, and they had huge wideout #4 I think that was lazy and acted like he didn't want be there. They got past the 50 on the opening drive and that was it. So excuse me if I'm not impressed with OC being #1 ranked at this point.

I don't doubt Highlands will win state again but they aren't the team they have been the last couple of years. I think Elder takes this one by a couple of scores.

You obviously don't know Newport very well! Just take the 85 team. Forget it was their best football team they ever had but the kids on the team did what they were told by the coaches, and that came from good parents. Sure you have bad seeds everywhere, that's a given. You had middle to low income families throughout the school but they still took an interest in what the kids were doing on and off the field.

Dreaming is allowed! Just think if its going to be that lopsided of a game it won't be in the Indians favor. Watching both teams, it seems NCC is in much better shape as far as personnel and execution at this point. I'm only speaking of this game this coming week. It should be a game both teams learn from for playoff time.

I understand what you are saying but coaching isn't the issue at this point. In order to create a buzz with a new coach you would need to bring someone in with a history of winning. That's going to be difficult to find, maybe impossible. As far as being put in 2A b/c of old numbers, that's how the state determines the class, off of previous years enrollment. I've been hearing that complaint since that classification came out. They shouldn't have been playing varsity football at that point anyway. The school is to blame for that whole issue, they didn't try to build from the bottom up.
