They definitely haven't over-scheduled. That should be obvious with a 39-1 regular season record for this Senior class. But heck they got a 9-1 playoff record through last week. Pretty darn good. I know as underclassmen very few had little to do with those records, but it's a team game. Each class should come in and try to leave it better than they got it. Look at 2008 on KHSAA they dang near blanked everyone up to the regional championship, then won the close games to get the title. So while they didn't have the toughest regular season schedule then either, they still found ways to win.

And it has nothing to do with class. Just the fact of me picking the better team. As far as the champion versus champion thing. I just don't see it as a huge deal in HS football. HSF is so cyclical that it's almost pointless to compare this years team to last years. Just because you beat last years champion doesn't mean you beat this years champion. Nor does it make you a champion. It's just a game.

We never talked about Highlands and Ryle, but I believe both would beat Bell too. I am not trying to sell Bell as the best team to ever take the field in KY. I just believe this year, they should be a 6-10. I refuse to spend the time to specifically rank the top 10 so I will guestimate it. So we agree on 3/4. Not too bad in the internet world!

I posted replies to two different comments. Why does it have to be a case of champion versus champion? Last I checked we were talking about JH, Ballard and Bell. I don't buy into the "because we are 5A we are better than you" mentality as you mentioned. As for this year, I will take Bell's power, extremely fast tailback and experience over team speed and upper class rating.

The class system is a joke and an excuse. I have seen 2A beat 4A, 4A beat 6A, ... and so on. Being in a different class does not give you any entitlement. I am not going to get into the public/private debate. that's a whole different ball of wax. You think Bell doesn't have speed and power? and I agree, regular season competition shapes your season. You learn more about yourself and your team when your only challenge isn't how many points you put on the board.

It will be decided by the kids on the field in about 59 hours. I am sure the Dragons realize this isn't the same Danville team as last year. Teams rarely are the same from year to year. We aren't the same. If one team wants to go through the motions this week, they will get blown out. If the teams want to play, it's gonna be a 48 minute show! I think the key this week is ball control. Both teams have had their issues this year with keeping the ball and that's going to be the huge factor. Harp had talent last year, he just couldn't get his kids to do it. Plain and simple. Every coach has that problem from time to time. 2 years ago he had talent. Green just wanted it more. I am not reaching in my bag and going to pull out any excuse for any game. The team that wants to win will.

Based on my opinion, obviously. I have seen JH and Bell in person this year and my OPINION is JH would not compete for 48 minutes against them. JH seems to be a team that capitalizes on BIG plays and Bell won't allow enough of those to lose. I am not saying they aren't a good team because they are. Stick to 5A, you have enough to worry about there and don't need to be looking down. Ballard? I am just one of those guys. Never liked them. Haven't seen them play this year. Totally unqualified remark (as are most comments on here). Ballard is a decent team, just not good enough to compete with Bell this year IMO. I live 3.5 hours from Bell. I have no support of them other than to say they are the best looking team in 4A right now and one of the best all classes combined. There are matchups everyone would like to see and football, after all, is a game of matchups. I believe Bell wins 4A this year, their bracket lends a lot to that. 39-1 the past 4 years is pretty impressive. Although their playoff record in the same time frame doesn't quite line up with their regular season, this year is all that matters.

At this point I would think the only rankings that matter are the ones that come out on 12-3-10 and 12-4-10. Anything posted earlier is just for people to get on here and bark about. The what-ifs of the multi-class system will never be solved, especially on here. But to get my 2 cents worth in. Bell would smoke JH and Ballard. They will beat Boyle on the mountain soon enough. If it wasn't so far away, this is a game I would like to see. I know nothing of SK so I won't say anything either way.

He has predicted a victory over FtK and claimed they will do well against whoever they play in the following week. Claiming 1 victory and following up with one good game isn't too risque. Speed could be the difference for the Falcon's on Friday. It's should now be obvious that FtK isn't just going to get off the bus and hand the Falcon's the game ball. I hope to see FtK/Monroe game if the week goes like I think it should.

I expect Monroe to win. I am not very impressed with WC. The Falcons are their own worst enemy at this point. Come to play or lace up the basketball shoes. Not seeing Glasgow as a team that can go all the way. They are a good team, but not sure they will make it out of the region. That being said, I really don't know who I am pulling for. Assuming 1st round victories, the Green/Danville game should provide a very dangerous winner.

Green has to forget last year and realize they can beat the Knights. It's going to take a team effort get the job done Friday night. They have a pretty good home streak going this season and need to have some pride in that. While this game has no playoff implications, both need to turn out solid performances as a confidence builder heading into the playoffs. Marion definitely has the most to lose in this match-up.

I think Bell is going to be too much to handle. Game will stay close until midway through the 2nd, then all Bobcats from there.

Thanks. I got tired of the competitor site. I think the $20 was more than worth it to weed out the chronic instigators and riot starters. I have enjoyed the fact that the state is better represented on here as well. most discussions are civil, with a twist of sarcasm. Just the way I like it.

I agree. They have definitely had a tough go the last couple of seasons.

Regardless of how "close the game was", it's still a W for the Dragons. Both teams definitely have some things to work on if they expect to make any noise in the playoffs.

Allowing Bardstown to score 21 points doesn't bode too well for the Commanders. The Ads are obviously a much better team!

Would be a game worth watching. What an off-season motivator for both teams.
