OC was a physical team, just couldn't Marc mayfield' s horses and team spead, # 5 and # 4 were 2 of the tuffest hard nose runners we have seen all year, they just didn't have room to run, # 5 just refused to go down. I hear on another thread we are already beat next week tho.

This is the first game since Corbin that I think it's even a possibility Mayfield could lose, if mayfield plays BAD we lose, if mayfield plays good, we win, if Mayfield plays up to its potential, we win by 14 to 21 regardless of how OC plays.

I still say it's a patchwork crew even if they called semi's, no matter if they are on top of their game. You Cannot convince me that a crew, top of their game or not, will call a better game than a quality crew that's been together for years.

No, absolutely not sure, I was given this info from a local official. My point, that atm10 is debating, is that officials that call state championship games are not crews that have not called together as a team all year, matters not to me if they called semi's together or not, IN MY Opinion, they should take the best CREWS, and put them in championship games.

Post 16 explains nothing, if your going to accuse people of posting incorrect information at least back up your assertions, I've admitted being wrong on original post, and tried to get correct info from an official, I posted his info in post 20 and you state I'm still incorrect. So enlighten me, don't just throw out accusations and not back them up, if I'm incorrect, I'll admit it.

Ok, I found out from my source that I was incorrect, that the championship crew will have also called round 4, semi's together, so I stand corrected. HOWEVER, it still doesn't change MY MIND, that it's a patchwork crew. Calling together all year makes for a better crew in my opinion. I guess some would say it's like an ALLSTAR team so they should be really good, but I believe when you call all year together you know your strengths, you know how to work TOGETHER, I think that maybe, just maybe, sometimes certain officials don't blend well and this leads to a bad called game. There are weak officials in all regions but at least round these parts there are a couple reall good crews, I have to believe it's the same across the state. Calling 2games together is not enough to build that well oiled machine.

Well, how do you explain when region 1 sends an official, or 2, to call a state championship game, he's not calling with his normal crew, and I assume, all regions do the same.

I don't have as big of a problem with 7 man crews as much as I do with patchwork crews calling the finals. ( putting together crews that have not called a single game together all year)

I don't keep up with 1-A enough to offer an opinion other than Beechwood WILL NOT lose another game.
