  1. Is this the same team that almost beat Boyle Co. in the beginning of the year? Doesn't make much sense.....
  2. This is one wild bunch of guys. Apparently this city boy has alot to learn about the ways of the country.....
  3. You're sadly mistaken if you don't think that God has zero to do with school. God has everything to do with everything. He sustains, provides, and nourishes according to His plan. We as people live out the consequences of our faith or lack thereof in His Son Jesus Christ wether it be manifested in our personal lives or in a public forum like school performance. To me, they are directly related.
  4. Those that have seen Him and have been transformed by His Love, Mercy, and Grace have the responsibility (although we all fall way short) to be a "light among men". We don't have to go out and save the world, God just wants us to let Him use us in our lives to make a difference in other's. When Christ is with me in Spirit, His love touches others and so on an so on. With our God, anything is possible, we as christians just don't allow Him to use us the way He wants us to be used mosty b/c of fears of mockery.
  5. Take a back seat and let Christ drive your life and watch and see....Seriously though, think of it like a set of dominoes......take it from me school and all of society would be much better off with faith.
  6. It's not religion, it's called faith in Jesus Christ. You know , the One that time is represented by.....A.D. B.C.
  7. Faith cannot be taught at school due to seperation of church and state. God entrusted us with His children and with that we have an awesome responsibility to teach our children first and foremost about He who created us for His glory. That is our sole purpose in life. period. With that said, most of society has turned their backs on God and feel as though they don't need Him in their daily lives even though He sustains us by the richness of His mercy and love. We think we have everything by our own accord and teach our children the same values in effect. Win at all costs, be sucessful in this world, etc.. All these are worldly goals, instead of teaching God's invisible attributes of loving our neighbor, looking out for the interests of others instead of merely your own, etc... Children grow up in these dysfunctional environments that send them all the wrong messages about what they were put on this earth for. We as parents will bear the brunt of responsibility in providing the conditions that God had intended his children to be reared in. Heck, even most christians put the brunt of responsibility of teaching their children about God on the sunday schools. That is not right. We, as parents need to accept responsibility and live out our faith at home 7 days a week 365 days a year. Only then does this country have a chance. We have fallen off a cliff just in the past 20 years and are morally corrupt. T.V. is nauseating and to think our impressionable children watch this crud. The allure of evil is very tempting to all of us and we must make every effort to arm ourselves daily with prayer, the Word of God, and with much discipline...Only then will America be what it once was...
  8. a common yet simplistic view of the failure of not just our commonwealth's school system but rather an overall collapse nationwide. The root cause is the common denominator in human life; Belief in God (i.e. Jesus Christ and all He teaches about life and how to live) From Christ we as people learn good/evil, pride/humility, selfishness/selflessness, putting faith in the uncertainty of riches, honest/deceitfullness, Etc.. All the traits of Christ, if lived out with His help, would relieve all of the ailments of our corrupted society. All the external tangible failures of society (ie. schools) can be attributed to our faith. Our country was founded by God fearing christians. Our country has been so blessed by God and we ignore Him. How many sing His praises daily? Today, our churches are b and b's or reception halls. We as adults have a responsibility to teach our children first and foremost about Jesus and all He represents. In addtion to live out our faith daily with His help. When our society grasps this, change will occur. Until then, drugs, crime, dysfunction, greed, deceit, etc. will abound. So you see, with an application of faith in our lives through Christ Jesus, the funding would be there, the teacher's would be accountable, parents would respect the awesome responsibility of rearing one of God's very own, and school boards would work together to accomplish things with proper motives.
  9. yep, early season with my reconyx. Thanks for the compliment. I thought it was pretty cool too and represented well.
  10. I own a farm out in the county and my neighbor has done the same thing. I didn't ask him why b/c he wasn't all there if you know what I mean, but I understand your view and can appreciate it. I personally couldn't pull the trigger on a dog and we can just leave this one alone.
  11. It's called cruelty to animals and is punishable by law.
  12. Swiffer, I just asked a valid question that you helped clarify a little. By the way, we're all armchair qb's.
  13. No, but next home game i'll bring my climber and perch atop a telephone poll by the PA system. Look for me there.
  14. The announcers said Withrow had alot of players going both ways, yet they scored 21 in the 4th.
  15. I think u called it at the beginning of the season that Withrow would be H's toughest test.
  16. No speed, no pressure, Towles has a field day pickin' them apart.
  17. Once again HHSbirds. You are right on the money. They've been missing that all season. Last week was very similar with guys wide open within 20 and Towles forcing bombs.
