It may be just me, but I sense a patronizing tone to this post. Birds bounce back big in this one.

Highlands hasn't been on the losing end of a contest for a couple years now. Even though this is a scrimmage, I can't help but wonder what this does to the team mentally. I think it's good in alot of ways for both the fans and the players. I'm sure they'll come out firing next week against Manual while the Bird faithful will have a week to realize that this team has come back down to earth. Looking at the other scrimmage results with Dixie and such, it sounds like every game will be worth watching this coming year with no gimmies. Sounded like a great night in Ft. Thomas with even the losing team coming out a winner.

Amen, brother. All those folks thinking this team is anything like last year better retrain themselves. Highlands is an awesome football team, but please avoid 2009 comparisons......

Sideline effect aside, it will definitely factor into our post game chatter. Thanks for another arrow in the quiver.

I am getting concerned because I find myself agreeing with you more and more often.

This game's going to carry with it alot of bragging rights that will be heard until the time they meet again which according to history will be another decade or so....Scrimmage or not, this game carries with it alot of significance to the fans. Personally, I'm not concerned with how the coaches view it. The post game forum on this game will prove my point.

Alright, let's try this again. Is it possible that Highlands can still "lose" even if they win? Trinity is a very young team filled with some very gifted sophomores, but how will it reflect if the scrimmage is even close? Heaven forbid the other scenario that Highlands loses to these soph's only to have to face Dupont Manual the following week who's arguably the #2 ranked team out of the Louisville area. The more I think about this schedule the more I realize that it's alot tougher than some make it out to be. With a potential for back to back wins for the Louisville fans, they may have to break out the riot gear.....no worries.....ain't gonna happen that way.

Please....These kids are going to be rippin' each other's heads off every chance they get. Al ot of folks downplay this game, but I'm tellin' ya it's going to be a barnburner! And all for only 5 bucks!

Withrow is by far a better team than JC and will definitely be one of Highlands toughest foes. Other than that, Highlands has a lock on NKY. It's probably a good thing Withrow is playing Highlands at home because they'll need all the support they can get. Remember, speed kills....
