Newport big, I look for Newport to air it out and give their play makers the ball in open field.

Yes they did I know some were new trying to get some more training in but you know its bad when the white hat throws his flag for a pass interfernce that occured thirty yards down field cause no one else did. Holmes had no game plan but to come in and get better and prepare for the season to start.

The interception was an obvious pass interference believe me and im not being a homer the ref on Holmes sideline didnt throw his flag once. Sk is good yes but a team that can win state NO! For a kid not scorching a team which he only played a half and had NINE catches 144 YARDS and 1 TD IN A HALF then i would LOVE to know how else a reciever is supposed to scorch a defense.

I thought Uk#1fan said Sage Powell was a D1 runningback? Just curious since he didnt play offense and no way he is a D1 corner with what I seen tonight.

I heard he tweaked a knee last week. If Sk plays a passing team it will struggle alot especially if they play Trinity and James Quick. Also the Varsity score was 41-14, with that said without preparing for a team to blitz every play and bring two or three at a time you will struggle on offense. Sk looked pretty small up front, they should prey nothing happens to Chad Lawrence this year he is the key to the engine without him it will be a very long season and lets remember this was just another pre-season game.

Varsity 41-14 Varsity , SK;s defense looked like they had prepared for Holmes and blitz ALOT as in almost every play. Holmes showed up and didnt look ready to play. Holmes gave up four touchdowns on third down which killed them as it would any team. Also Holmes was without one of their best players Greg Clemons. Desean Peterson absolutely torched SK's secondary #21 could not do anything to stop him i believe for two quaters he had 9 catches for 144 yards and 1 td. Also i thought Sage Powell was the running back?

Yes, he graduated but the quaterback this year is a better passer. Also the Indians are small up front compared to the past couple years. With all the changes Bellevue has had and losing their most productive back ever ill take the Indians 21-14.

Holmes freshman Johnathon Scruggs ran an 11.45 last year so whats your point. Also if you was at the scrimmage you would know that Holmes ran about five plays on offense. Holmes had their O-line coach resign earlier in the week and were juggling some new looks. You will be very surprised come friday.

I have seen this kid play froshmore and is not a TE. If he is anything he is an offensive tackle, maybe he could be used as an eligibl tackle but who knows. Do you know why he left Holmes?

Holmes had alot of drops for the first couple series, they found their rythm and got going. Desean Peterson was a handful for everyone on the field, IMO this was the best setup for 7 on 7 that i have seen in awhile. Now its time for the pads should be interesting the next couple of weeks!

Homes and Dayton are getting new uniforms also. I believe they look like Missouri's, sorry no pictures.

No way he plays LB in college. Its quaterback or Tight end maybe some DE but no way LB, I think he will go to choose a school that will give him a chance at QB. I haven't heard anything about him playing LB hes to big.

No one has to worry to much its only 7 on 7 so pretty much tag football lol, I honestly expect it to be a little rougher since the teams are getting closer and closer to putting pads on July 31 I believe some teams are having a midnight madness!!

Tuesday, 9am at Highalands!

Holmes travels to Campbell County tonight, and for the match up against Highlands I cant wait to see the matchup of Desean Peterson against the really good corner for Highlands his name slips my mind. One of the best recievers in NKY whos a sophmore against a solid DB!!

I wonder if Rabe has been on the road for the past two years attending camps? From what I've been reading Zeke has been which is why he is getting alot of respect from college coaches. If you want to be the best, then compete with the best! Just like Travis Elliot and Patrick Towles for example going out to camps. Remember when you impress one scout or one coach the news will travel about the kid and more people keep an eye out for him.

I was on Rivals and from the looks of it Zeke might be getting an offer from Notre Dame in september when the recruiting window opens for coaches.

Defending national champion Alabama has verbally offered a football scholarship to Dixie Heights 6-5 junior Zeke Pike. Pike, who has yet to start a varsity game at quarterback, said he also received an offer from Auburn over the weekend. Pike, the son of former NFL veteran Mark Pike, played tight end and outside linebacker last season.
