Holmes isn't the Holmes of old and athletically, SK has no where near the talent and speed of Holmes at the skill positions.

 

SK's db's will struggle to defend Holmes' Wr's Peterson, Hayes, Oden, and the Coston brothers.

 

SK may win because overall more depth, but Holmes will give SK fits. I think I may have to make the trip to Independence for this one.

I am sure Sage Powell, Zihier Bailey, and Trey Pinkleton will have just as much speed as Holmes. Holmes didn't even score on NCC in there scrimmage and now there going to beat a 6A school ok.

Sage Powell and Chad Lawrence are faster than Miles and Miles ran a 4.5 I don't think Holmes will have time to throw to Preston SK's D-Line and LBer's are to much they sacked Bryan Stations QB several times and forced fumbles. Bryan Station has UK recruit on there Line.

Holmes had their O-line coach resign earlier in the week and were juggling some new looks. You will be very surprised come friday.

You may want to read my post again ... I am 100% sure that I didn't say anything about Holmes' ability to win or lose this scrimmage.

Holmes got shut out because both times they drove down in to NCC's zone they ran out of plays. It was a 10-10 format...not real game situations.

I'd be willing to bet that Oden is being recruited more than Powell. Oden has been starting varsity for the past two years and showing what he can do. Sage didn't come on the scene until last year when Miles got hurt and he also won't be running behind that same offensive line this year that was probably one of the best in SK history.

 

Oden's 4.5 speed has been proven....can you do the same for Powell and Lawrence? It also looks like Holmes has a FRESHMAN that has a quicker posted time than Sage.

 

It's a shame people have to get on here and downgrade KIDS because of one poster making outlandish comments.

I'm not trying to reply for quickslick but I think his point was that Sage isn't as fast as skfan#1 was saying...he wasn't referring to Holmes in his post.

I am just saying SK has plenty of speed to hang with Holmes, Bryan Station, Henry Clay, Middletown, ST X or any other team from the Ville!
