I am not sold on Simon either but if Holmes got handled by a strong 2A team how in the heck are they going to compete against a strong 6A team?

 

Simon Kenton handled Bryan Station pretty easy and they have alot of speed and athleticism.

SK runs the spread offense to utilize their speed and athleticism. SK will exploit Holmes weakness on offense and defense!

Holmes had a strong showing against SK last year and they return 9 starters on both sides of the ball from that team so I really don't see where you're getting that SK will simply dominate this years' version of the Bulldogs when SK lost much more?

Holmes used a lot of different combinations in that game against NCC, due to their o-line coach resigning earlier in the week. It was also a 10 play format, so I wouldn't say they got handled considering the circumstances. Again, only time will tell.

Hansel, and Simpson didn't start D, only saw spotty time at both.

You may want to read my post again ... I am 100% sure that I didn't say anything about Holmes' ability to win or lose this scrimmage.
