  1. My guess is if he gets that job, Holy Cross loses their best player and the family relocates.
  2. Covington Catholic 2015/16 Kentucky High School Boys Basketball
  3. Also play UC commit and 4* SG Jarron Cumberland's Wilmington squad in Park Hills. Colonels schedule is one of the best in KY once again this year with other games against Louisville Central, Trinity, Moeller, and TBA matchups in the Flyin to the Hoop in Dayton and Play by Play Classic (same event Taylor Co will meet Seventh Woods' team on ESPNU).
  4. Weyer SHOULD be the most dominant player in the region. Simply no other "big" to match up with him this year with his ability to score inside and out. Does need to work on his ball handling some but definitely in the conversation for best player in the region. The fact that Weyer, McNeil, and CVH all play different positions and bring different skill sets to the game make it difficult to tab one as "best in the region." You could list any of the three at #1 and probably make a really good argument for why.
  5. Cooper will feature one of the 9th region's best guard trios in Sean McNeil, Dante Hendrix, and Adam Kunkel. Biggest question with them will be in the post. Very undersized and I assume Sean McNeil, at 6'4, will play out of position defensively due to being one of the biggest players on the team. Have also been told sophomore Chris McNeil is expected to get a lot of run this year and could make an early impact.
  6. Hepp was originally thought to be out for the season but I was told from a pretty reliable source that he is expected back mid-late December.
  7. Constant roster questions??? As for the thread....I'm told Coach Bezold is teaching at Holmes this year but no decision has been made on whether or not he will coach. As stated multiple times, he wants to be able to watch Tyler play this year. Unless the family decides to send Tyler to Holmes (highly unlikely, IMO), my guess is Bezold maybe has some involvement with the program but isn't a regular on the bench during Holmes games. Assuming he wants to get back in to coaching, it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up replacing Coach L, whenever he decides to step down.
  8. I'm a big fan of Eli and think he is a great player and deserves any and all recognition that comes his way but you are seriously discrediting Quentin Goodin with the bolded comment. When they were matched up against one another at the NUR Showcase, it wasn't close as to who the better player was (Goodin)....and that was the common theme among multiple scouts from multiple recruiting outlets who were there. I won't argue as to who the better player is as I REALLY like how both play. Assuming Eli is still at Apollo come December, we will get another chance to settle the debate as Apollo is scheduled to play Taylor Co in the Legacy Nissan Classic at North Laurel.
  9. Holmes has two open positions with Coach Reinhardt no longer there and Ricardo Johnson accepting the JUCO assistant position in Texas....one of the reasons why I assumed Holmes could be where he ends up if he was deciding to get back in to coaching.
  10. Yes...kid can go. Big fan of him. Built like a D1 linebacker but tries to tear the rim off any time he goes up. Put Carson Williams on a poster at the NUR Showcase.
  11. Seventh Woods - Basketball Recruiting - Player Profiles - ESPN Seventh Woods, Hammond School, Combo Guard Seventh Woods - Yahoo! Sports
  12. They're also expected to land 6'3 5* PG Frank Jackson as well...#12 overall for 2016.
  13. Several locations but I want to say this game is in Portsmouth, OH.
  14. And I'd assume Harry Giles isn't far behind...
  15. Was told Taylor Co will play Seventh Woods' team in the Play by Play Classic on ESPNU this season.
  16. Put a Cougar in the middle and you basically have Conner's football helmet logo...
  17. Brooks kind of came out of nowhere as he visited UC then literally committed right after leaving Xavier's campus the next day, but you were on top of things in regards to where UC stood with Cumberland/Washington. Exciting to think about the possible lineups Mick can roll out these next few years. Washington will flourish in UC's offense next to Gary and a 2/3 combo of Evans/Cumberland is going to be really tough for opposing teams to slow down.
  18. Announced this morning...then hours later Wilmington star and 4* guard Jarron Cumberland commits to the Bearcats as well. Hell of a day for Mick and his staff.
  19. I assume he is referring to 6'4 Dontaie Allen.
  20. ^^^ Taylor is the man. Very well connected. It's rare that you see the type of talent he had there. Most top kids avoid in state camps like that but he was able to draw, at worst, at least 8 of the top 10 from each class, plus the best players from a lot of teams from around the state. Wish a few more nky kids would have been there but was nice to at least see Brennan there.
  21. Right now...he is as good as any other freshman in the area. Raavai Commodore maybe has more upside because he is going to end up being a 6'2-6'3 PG that can defend multiple positions and play multiple positions offensively, but skill wise, Brennan can play with anyone. If he grows, he has a chance to play at the next level. CJ Fredrick also got a lot of love from the scouts I spoke to yesterday as well. Seems like him and Raavai are the talk among a lot of those in the tri state area on the AAU circuit but Brennan is certainly becoming a well known name for his play this summer.
  22. Saw you guys watching the All Star game at the end of the day...you should have stopped over and introduced yourselves. I'm sure I'll be seeing you two a lot over the next few years.
  23. Ironton is still one of my favorite stadiums of all time...town has the "varsity blues" type feel on Friday nights when they play a home game. Just looked up their stadium and did see that they look to have done some upgrades, adding paint and turf.
