  1. Purdue commit Ryan Cline torched KY tonight...23 pts on 5-9 3FG, 8-14 FG....also had the go ahead and final bucket at the buzzer.
  2. Final from Transy. Bolden hit a deep 3 to give Ky a 80-79 lead with under 40 secs left then got a stop but Ky turned it over and IN got a go ahead lay up in transition. Bolden had a 3 blocked and IN scored at the buzzer to give you the final. Sutton led KY with 16 & 11. Perry 16 & 5. Hall 12 & 5 Bolden 7 & 7 Miller 7 & 6 Rose 7 & 3 Holman 5 & 9 Woods 5 Patterson 4 & 5 Not sure why but Matlock only played 3 mins
  3. Ky trails 42-34 at the half. Sutton with 10 & 8 rbs... Perry with 8 to lead KY. Holman has 7 rbs but 2 pts. Miller really struggled against the length of Tahjai Teague of IN. Matlock has only played 3 mins and Bolden has only played 4 due to picking up 3 cheap fouls. Indiana 6-17 from outside and 44% from the fiekd. Kentucky 1-14 from outside and 23% from the field. Brutal shooting by them so far.
  4. Games at Hughes during the summer are usually pretty rough...if you don't show up and play with a little toughness, you're in for a long day. No blood, no foul....
  5. No Rico Hollis for Newport this year from what I've heard....
  6. Typical response? I'm simply stating facts. If there is no interest, it's hard to make an event happen.
  7. To be clear with my comment in the other thread...my point was that Covcath isn't moving any home games to BOKC if they don't have to. Like G said, if another team does, the Colonels would show up ready to play like any other game.
  8. ^^^ Again...it has nothing to do with effort. If you feel you can make the game happem, contact Rod Snapp (I believe he is the head of NKCA..him or Chevy) and let them know YOU would like to make it happen next year.
  9. Bingo....the boys game not being played has nothing to do with coaches not "being organized." Hate to say it, but the best kids in the area aren't interested in playing in an "all star game" against kids that they could play at pleasure isle or one of the local parks any day of the week. And for the record, it was my idea to hold it a week or two after the state tournament ends and was told "baseball coaches will never go for it."
  10. Holmes beat Boyd Co and lost to Johnson Central by 2 in OT yesterday at Boyd. Play three games today.
  11. This...and it has nothing to do with arrogance. My understanding is those who call the shots simply don't think the program, fans, or players gain anything by moving a regular season HOME game there. Now if someone like Newcath wants to move THEIR home game v Covcath to BOKC to accomodate crowd size and safety (floor issues), I have no clue if Covcath would have to agree to a change in location or not.
  12. Bolden is already at West Va but will still be back for practice and the games this coming week end.
  13. The issue isn't scheduling a game. It wouldn't be that hard to find 10-15 NKY boys basketball players to meet at a venue and essentially run open gym. Nothing against the girls games or coaches, but I'd be willing to bet there were less than 200 people in attendance for those all star games.
  14. Holmes is at Boyd Co tomorrow and Tues. Thursday they will host Lafayette at 1:00 and Boone Co at 3:00 at Holmes. (Lafayette v Boone 2:00)
  15. CVH, Heppler, Mayer, Walter, and Zig didn't play in the Dixie game. Covcath played the incoming sophomores minus Walter and Mayer against Highlands and won 63-53. Ruthsatz, Fredrick, Lay, L Thelan, P Thelan, and Davin.
  16. 35th district or 9th region site...unless they wasn't to accept a forfeit. Fwiw...I don't blame CCH for having the stance they do.
  17. From what I've been told, Covcath isn't playing there unless they have to....
  18. Holmes won the 3rd qtr 20-9. Wilson didn't play much but he really hasn't been a factor when he has been in. Hegyi (5?), Mcgovney, and #20 all look solid for the Camels.
  19. Watching Holmes-Campbell now...Holmes won first half 28-26.
  20. Dealing with a back issue...he will be fine.
  21. I've been told Covcath has pretty much been playing JV kids mixed with a varsity starter or two and still looking pretty good so far. Like you said, summer ball means nothing, but still nice to hear about new faces stepping up. From what I've heard, I'd expect CCH to start 5 of the following 7: CVH (lock) Flood (lock) Ruthsatz Mayer Zig Heppler Fredrick
  22. Holmes didn't have Marcus Mullins. Started McClendon, Daniels, Commodore, Arnold, and Moore. Was told McClendon had over 20 both games again and that Arnold has been killing it. Too big and strong inside for everyone. That will be a common theme for him this season.
  23. I assume you were there...how did Holmes look?
  24. Covcath beat Newport by 35 with Snapp playing and also beat SK. CVH, Heppler, and Ziegelmeyer didn't play either game.
