  1. Just remember guys, he's Dixie's quarterback the next two years. I do agree, he did play good tonight at that position.
  2. Not only did Pike and Zumdick play well, the other two linebackers were all over the field. Ben Wolf #30 was constantly in the backfield, and Goose Cohorn #3 had a handfull of tackles and deflections. Good job against a much faster Bulldog team. Good luck too both teams the rest of the year!
  3. Anyone know who is filling the 2 linebacker positions? Whoever it is, hopefully they can hit and tackle well!
  4. I do remember seeing Cohorn at safety last Friday at Highlands in the first half.
  5. This game comes down to who has the better defense on Thursday night. And it's probably not going to be a defensive matchup. This game might end up being a shootout. Pretty even, but Simon by a touchdown at home. Good luck to both teams.
  6. I've seen them two play this year, solid at tackling and hard hitters. And yes, they would have to move up on the depth chart. I thought Cohorn is a safety? #3 right?
  7. With Raleigh and Stansberry possibly out for this game, I would look for Goose Cohorn and Brian Pillman to be on the field for Dixie. From what I've been hearing, Zumdick has some ligament damage and is probably done for the year.
  8. If Dixie can refrain from turning the ball over as much as they have been lately, AND start tackling better, they can win this game. If the defense doesn't play well then forget it.
  9. That's a good question. I hear that either his mother or father went to Highlands. I think he came to Dixie along with Goose Cohorn and Corey Garrett from Summit View Middle. I believe they all played on the football and basketball team last year at Dixie. He seemed to be happy there, don't know why he left. Good question.:idunno:
  10. Thats correct. And there are also a few others from that freshman team last year in Pike, Cohorn, and Seth Bruns getting varsity time in at Dixie this year. Good to see Drake Bruns playing at the varsity level.:walk::ylsuper:
  11. Dixie 36 Highlands 28. Wow, what a game! I guess this game today made a statement.
  12. :walk: The Dixie-Highlands game should be a good game. And true, just as at Highlands, some of the players earlier mentioned, along with others, do get varsity time also. Highlands should also have much talent at the JV level. And with the shuffeling of players to the varsity level on both teams, it should be a good game in a couple weeks. That freshman game was a little lop sided last year, something like Dixie 42-Highlands 12.
  13. The JV football team at Dixie Heights is 5-0 as they reach the half way point in the season. The offense, which is very explosive, is led by QB Zeke Pike. He has a trio of recievers that are fast and sure handed in Goose Cohorn, Billy Menkhaus, and Spencer Riddle. There is also alot of speed and power comming out of the backfield in runningbacks Seth Bruns and Michael Wheeler. The defense, which has allowed just under 12 points a game, is also well balanced. The D-Line is anchored by D.J. Handlon, and a linebacker group led by Brian Pillman. The secondary is led by two smart hard hitting safetys in Goose Cohorn and Billy Menkhaus. With this much talent on the field, I look for the Colonels to be one of the top teams in N. Ky. the next two years.
