The cheerleaders are in front of the stage but the bleachers are up on the stage and are far back compared to the other end. The stage is not the best seat in the house as you are far from the court. Sit there sometime and you will understand what I am talking about. Also, the lighting isn't the best back there on the stage. When you sit there you just feel like you are far away from the action.

Put Kyle Bair from East Carter into the mix as well, he doesn't do anything GREAT, but he does about everything well! For a high school point guard I think that is about all you can ask: get the ball into half-court and run the offense. Bair does both of these well and has impressed me in the limited times I've seen him play in the last two years.

You could not place a student section on the stage because it is so far away. I don't know if you have ever sit there but you are not close to the court at all. The cheering sections would not be able to hear each other and it would pretty much leave the cheering section on the stage at a big disadvantage.

I think it should be shut down, if we give them another day to come back with excuses it might be scary with what they come up with.

I love the bolded statement, Fleming Co. is Clark Co's feeder system. It is also funny when you see their fans show up to cheer against Mason Co.

I believe the Big East Tournament is played at MSG every year which is the home court for St. Johns but we never hear anything about that. It might be because St. Johns never wins it.

Appleman is so harsh and strict on the cheering section that a lot of times he is the reason why kids don't come out and support. Sunrise sorry to bust your bubble but you are putting false information on here, your information is flat out wrong. You are breaking rule number 6. NO student spit on any player and no student threw drinks at your coach. You lost, get over it!

Yeah Sunrise, what about when your cheering section charged Chad Jackson? Must of been bad management and I know for a FACT that the cheering section did not spit on any of your players. Talk about a sore loser..:ohbrother:

I know how tightly that cheering section thing is ran, and I know the boys who were in it and that is false. Especially the part about them spitting on the players. Just because you lost don't mean you lost doesn't mean you go making up excuse after excuse. You probably did hear this Sunrise but think about it before you put it on here. Appelman would not let that kind of stuff go on in the Mason Co. cheering section.

I would expect him to do good again. Scott Co. does have big guards though that are very athletic, who are good rebounders.

How big is Corbin? I know Scott Co. is big but I think an inside player could give them trouble. I don't think any of the Scott Co. players really like to bang.

The jealousy of Mason Co. in this thread is really awful. It seems like every county in the region is ganging up against the Royals. I guess that is what happens when you are just that good. That is how you know you are on top!:ylsuper::jump::dancingpa:dancingpa

Granted Rick Mays retired after the 2009 season for Elliott County, but he had retired and came back before hand to coach the Lions! Rick and Dale Ferguson were the two individuals responsible for alot of the success of that great group so you can't claim he just used them and quit.

I forgot about him, but I would say about 5 minutes top. He didn't start getting major playing time until the Ashland game in the finals of this tournament.

Mason Co. beat them without Shaq Wilson I believe? But Mason Co. also didn't have Neal Pawsat, so it should be a really good game if there was a rematch on Saturday Night.

Totally agree with what has been said on here, never have been to a Gallatin County basketball game in my life but it seems every year I find myself on BGP checking their scores just hoping they can pull off the miracle! I put them right up there with Elliott County and those schools, these stories are what make KY high school basketball so special! What was the last time they went, 1959 I think?

I would say Gilbert was the MVP, as he seemed to be the guy that made the tough shots at key moments. Some of them shots he made off the backboard was remarkable. You can not over look what Justin Lang did though, as I think him out playing Stenzel was the key to the game.

An interesting photo that I seen was the one with Blueford and Zollo. Zollo would not look him in his eyes. This is kind of the mentality that he plays with also by wanting to be on the perimeter. As big as he is, he should of dominated the game tonight in the paint. He needs to get tougher and meaner and quit the show boating.

Want to say something else, first off Congrats to the Catspause rankings! Mason was the better team! Now we all know why Clark didn't want to play Mason in the regular season. Also, want to say that the region should be at the Fieldhouse. None of the two places can compare with that tonight, it was awesome! I will eat crow on my O'Hearn bashing. His team got it done tonight. Can you all at least now see why I bashed O'Hearn for not playing Blueford vs Brossart. The kid is too good to be sitting on the sidelines. I didn't like his matchups to start the game with Setty on Rogers, and that did get Setty in foul trouble. I thought Pawsat should of been on him the whole game, and O'Hearn did put him on him in the second half. So props for the adjustment! Also, his full court pressure with his guards was the reason for the win tonight. Great job O'Hearn you have silenced one of your haters!
