Lady dogs missed a high amount of free throws tonight that could have easily put this game out of reach. Their half court sets looked really bad all night. Foul trouble kept them from applying pressure tonight in the second half. Unless the dogs develope a consistant game plan that involves their bigs they will continue to struggle against teams like tonight. Ryle at one point took the lead late in regulation but from their youth could not hold on. Really was surprised by the energy displayed tonight by my Lady Dogs may have been a little tired tonight. But over all good win and congrats to Ryle they really have a lot of peices to develope and build upon would not over look them come tourney time.

Sounds like you should be adddressing Tellitlikeitis instead of the Lady Dogs and what they did or didn't last year. Most of the Lady Dog fans on here give credit to both HHS and HC. And generally are supporters of the girls that they know from both HHS and HC so please dont let ones comment bait you into thinking that we as Bulldog fans dont know and respect HHS. Cause I for one give credit where it is due, these young ladies deserve far better from all fans from all the teams. True followers of the girl programs know that none of the teams want to face each other come tourney time but one will have that draw and that is all that matters. You are absolutely right that Holmes did not make it out of the Distrcits last year but if my memory is correct none of them brought the State Championship trophy back either. I wish all of them the best of luck this year and no matter which one wins the Region I'll be cheering them on down state. Go Lady Dogs:clap:!!

It is still the big 3 in my opinion because of them being in the 9th region. As I will continue to say all three are a threat and can beat one another on any given night.

Teams will continue to use a zone defense against the Dogs until they can prove they can play a half court game. That is why you work on these things in game situations were they were blowing teams out. To help in these type of games, as stated in other threads teams that are not formiliar with the dogs will struggle but most 9th region teams will be better prepared and wont try to run with them when they know that they struggle in half court sets.

How are the Lady Dog coaches using Johnson tonight she is generally scrappy on defense. Maybe she could disrupt her a little.

Very close game for the Lady Dogs concidering HC and HHS blew NCC out. Did the Lady Dogs not shoot well or was NCC making shots.

Holmes fans did not have a dog in tonights game. With family members on both squads our fans tend to cheer each other on except for when they play each other. I for one support the Lady Indians and I'm a Bulldog fan as I always state but I do know and like many players and parents on your team. I dont recall anyone making excuses of the Lady Dogs loosing besides there own shooting woes. You guys have beaten two good teams and hopefully your team remains healthy cause that is all I read when y'all lost is about who was not healthy. Enjoy the win and good luck in the All A tourney.

Most of these kids either play summer ball together or on AAU teams together. So if they are talking it is done by a limited few. I have met many of the Crazies after games at different location when I'm out and they all have been very respectful. I talk to some at a gas station last night they were still amped up but still were respectful even knowing that I was a Bulldog fan. Love or hate them they are number 1 when it comes to school spirit and maybe other school should take notes.

Congrats to the Ladt Indians and good luck the rest of the way. Also way to fight back Lady Dogs. The 35th District was well represented in tonights match up. Gym was very electric tonight with a very good crowd.

I'm not saying anything negative to you just saying the catholic schools have alot of school spirit and they do create a home court advantage. We are all entitled to our opinion, but I was not bashing you by no means. I have been one to congratulate ND and CCH when they either win championships or represent the 9th region. And I also complemented how well of a career the young lady had. So I'm not against you and I'm a Bulldog fan.

I would beg to differ, every teams fans heckles in some fashion exspecially at the catholic schools. Have we forgotten about the Crazies of CCH which is one my favorite cheering schools. Players have faught through hecklers for years. And parents from every school does some sort of heckle so none are saints.

ND tried to bring a physical game plan tonight and found out real quick that the Lady Dogs could play just as physical. As I have said in earlier post we have face several styles of play and have adjusted well. ND seemed to be winded at times but kept fighting hard. They really are not as bad as their record shows. Their number 40 is a real nice player but got caught up in battling with fans in the stands while she should have focused more on the game at hand. Fans are going to heckle teams on the road it is part the game. So I think she lost her composure in that manner but overall she has had a very nice high school career.Holmes is a tough team to match up with because of their depth. Even when beat long they still were able to recover.
