That is a great story. Obviously has a lot of speed and is a great athlete.

Well, not entirely so. Stats are important. Both college and pro scouts want to view them. However, they are relative to your competition. If you put up good numbers against quality competition, stats can be very helpful in evaluating a player's ability.

Speaking of All-Region....who made the All-Region team? I have not seen it posted anywhere.

Easy guys. No need to get upset. Crazy things can happen. Just look at the example of North Bullitt over PRP. I don't think anyone would have predicted that. No slam against North Bullitt. When its one and done, and trying to look ahead to the next potential opponent.....anything can happen. All of these teams have at least a 3 game winning streak going for them. That is worth something...in every region.

Both have played very good schedules. Should be a very good game. Will go out on a limb and say Butler 5-4 in extra innings.

Had the opportunity to see this championship game as well as most of the tournament. What a championship game! Hated to see my Oldham teams bow out...but, hey...maybe next year! That trick play was awesome! Both teams played with a lot of heart and determination. That Russell kid is an iron man. I also like Shelby's shortstop. He had a great tournament.

Would be a good final four out of the five for all the marbles.

Appears it may be headed for a Shelby vs. Anderson final. Well, maybe Oldham could make it to the final. North Oldham is also very good and could challenge Shelby. My Oldham comrades will not give up without a fight and may disagree with me.....but I think this is Shelby's year.

A buddy texted me and kept me updated. Must have been a great game. It seems as though it is always a battle when those two lock horns. Heard Hunter and Tipton for Shelby really lit up the Anderson pitchers.

Interesting. It would seem there are some other players in NKY worthy of the top 50. Would not worry about this list. It is much more important how you're viewed at the end of the season.

How does Owen stack up against Shelby and vice versa?

He is going to Eastern Kentucky University.

Interesting. Well, there will be some growing pains. But hopefully both will be successful.

What about Greenup County? Or Boyd County?

No problem. Probably right on target with honorable mention. Got to see them play some last season. It seems, at least in recent years, it comes down to either them or Anderson.

Anderson County will be rebuilding. Clark County is not in the 8th. I would guess Shelby County will be considered the favorite this year.

Where is this school located? Not in Oldham County.

Not too bad. Hmmm. No 8th Region teams in there. But a good list nonetheless.
