Casey County 2014 will look a lot like Casey County 2011 if the Rebel program is able to get kids out to play. Casey 2012 and 2013 will struggle just due to the low numbers in the current junior and sophomore classes.

If you guys are right, and Casey is unable to run the ball "between the 20's", it will get ugly in the first half. Casey has just thrown for 271 yards in six games, so passing is a small part of the Rebel offense. However, Alex Bolin is one of the top running backs in the state in 3A (1019 yards thru 6 games) and has ran for at least 100 yards in every game. He has done this against 6A Simon Kenton, and 2A powers Prestonburg and Green County,so that's why I think he can do it against Bell. But, not to sound like a broken record, regardless of what happens in the first half, athleticism and depth takes over in the second half and Bell pulls away. If Casey turns it over, it gets ugly in the first 12-15 minutes.

Casey tries to control tempo with their offense. If they are moving the ball, they will go no huddle or they will use a lot of clock and keep the ball on the ground. If they do not turn it over, they can possible keep it close for a half, like they did against Simon Kenton. If they cough it up, it will get ugly quick. If they can eat some clock, Bell's depth and athleticism won't take over until the second half. Either way, Bell wins 35-14.

I hadn't said anything until you said something about giving up 41 to Casey County. As far as Bell, I have no misgivings about the outcome of that game, on the Bell-Casey thread, I predicted Bell 35-14.

Really? You think Casey County can't score? They are tied for 7th (with Wayne County) for most points scored in Class 3A for the whole state. Their three losses have come to a 6A school and a pair of top 10 2A schools. I tell you what really surprised me was that the McCreary faithful counted this as one of their seven or eight winnable games. Please, tell me the last time McCreary Central beat Casey in football. Oh, and by the way. They could have scored more than 200 points this season. Coach has played younger kids for most of second half in all three wins.

Thank you very much. We are rolling along at 3-3 having beaten everybody we were supposed to so far. Would like to knock of Metcalf and give Wayne a run for their money and wind up third in the district. We will just have to wait and see how it all unfolds. BTW, MS coach is first rate guy.

Looks to me like Southwestern got just what they needed after a very troubling week. This is not Coach Stephens' first rodeo. He went 8-4 last year in a tough district with far less talent than he has now. Give everybody another week or so to get their minds around what has happened and good things will happen on the west side of Pulaski County.

I am a die-hard Casey fan, but I agree 100%....Taylor is terrible and Boyle is, well, Boyle.

Probably know by now, Casey 41-McCreary 14. Raiders have some nice players, especially number 22.

Rebels went to the second round of the playoffs last year, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch to expect them to go again.

Not sure why a team that far east is in this district....having said that (to get it off my chest), I will say Bell 35-Wayne 12.

Same rumors made it BGP before the Clinton game and Rebs won 55-6. I don't think there is anything to it. Everyone appeared okay when they left the field after the loss to Prestonsburg.

Casey County has not reported stats from last week's game. Alex Bolin 5 games 81 attempts 875 yards 175 per game 10 TD's Bolin had 271 yards against Prestonsburg.
