Glad to see Southwestern get the win and congrats to the new Coach on his first win.

Nice win for the kids and Coach Stephens after a rough few days..

It is exactly what this program needed right now.

Game was a lot closer then the score. Ms had several chances to take control of the game. Ms is gonna be a very good team in years to come, they are very young but talent everywhere.

This score concerns me some. This week has been tough on the kids enough but I hear some major changes have already been made in the offense schemes and the play calling. I considered SW the favorite in their district but I am starting to think it might be a toss up.

You really think the game was closer than the score> Southern was in the red zone 1 time. Souther had 50 yards rushing on 35 attempts and 48 yards passing. SW had 397 total yards of offense. SW had 3 big plays called back from holding all three put them inside the 10. SW also fumbled on 2 good drives. I felt like the game could have been 45-0. Oh and Zebra same offense....same plays. Few more runs but just had trouble throwing the ball. Glad your concerned though.

Don't sound that close to me. Congrats Warriors continue to battle.

A win is a win who cares about the score. I agree with Commander way to go Sw after a tough week

Lets not confuse things, I am a SW fan and was at the game friday. Yes, the game was closer then the score and I will tell you why... SW really only drove the ball and scored on 2 drives, the opening drive (MS really should of had the onside kick they tried on the opening KO.) The 2nd score for SW off a tipped pass that MS defender played great on Williams, the ball just bounced in SW favor. Not to mention on that same drive, the same player for MS forget his # dropped an obivous INT that probably would of been taken for a TD-once again the ball was thrown to Williams in the flats. So at that point its 14-0. MS had a long run get called back for a holding call, now I didnt see the call b/c I was on the SW sideline but from talking to the SW coaches after they werent sure who or where it occured. That would of made the score 14-7... However it called back and MS punted. The score remained 14-0 until very very late in the 4th when MS ran out of gas. Id say I have proven (taking stats out of the situation) that the game was alot closer then the score. Not taking anything away from the kids but just removing my blue n orange glasses for a bit.

Heard that the talented freshman running back for MS[Harris] got elbow hurt in the game......can anyone elaborate or confirm this and when did it happen?

Looks to me like Southwestern got just what they needed after a very troubling week. This is not Coach Stephens' first rodeo. He went 8-4 last year in a tough district with far less talent than he has now. Give everybody another week or so to get their minds around what has happened and good things will happen on the west side of Pulaski County.

way to go, I think sw will be o.k..this year and in the future...The hard work begins now for them....they will get better and better
