I have great respect for Coach Noble and her players. They are a class act and I know they are not overconfident...I just like to poke fun at people that make 100% guarantees. I will repeat, one more time, Rock is the hands down favorite.....but nobody is going to roll over and anything can happen....that's why they play the games.

I hope the players and coaching staff are thinking the same way you are....overconfidence by the favorite is a good thing when you are a huge underdog.

Rock is the favorite and I think there is a 90%+ chance that they will win the region...BUT, don't expect Casey, Lincoln, Mercer, and Southwestern to just roll over....they will all go down swinging and who knows what can happen on a given night? Anything is possible in March and my years have watching basketball have taught me one thing. Just when you think your team is unbeatable, the unthinkable can happen. In all probability, Rock fans can gloat all they want to next Saturday night, but you got to play the games between now and then.

Let me clarify. What I meant is Coffman has averaged over 22 points per game and 8.5 rebounds this season and I believe that is one of the highest single season scoring averages in Casey history besides any one of two or three seasons that Debbie Miller posted while playing at Casey.

Pittman is probably about 85% by my estimation and I believe she is still on some kind of time limit per game. No doubt, she is a great player, but the injury is still a factor. Coffman has done a tremendous job carrying the load this season and has put together one of the best individual season's in school history. Coffman's output this season has probably only been surpassed by Debbie Miller (83 Casey grad and 87 UK grad). Miller scored over 2400 at Casey and over 1000 at UK. Miller's niece (Lakken Miller) is number 14 and comes off the bench for Casey. I believe Rock will win Thursday night, but I hope we meet one more time before it is all said and done.

She's not more impressive to me now than she was when the season started. Of course, I have said all along that she is the best in the 12th region this year and one of the best ever, so all she did for me was live up to expectations. She is a great player (I know) and a great kid (from what I hear) and as fans of the 12th Region we should enjoy the next 3 weeks.

I hope you are right. I don't want Casey to win the district because I know the Lady Rebels can't beat Rock two times.

No need to be nervous... we all know that the Lady Rockets are huge favorite....the rest of the teams are playing for second place.

As much of a Casey homer as I am, even I didn't expect Casey to have the second best record in the region at this point and Nicole Coffman has been even better than I expected. She led her team to a 14-4 record without Megan Pittman and is still averaging 22 points and nine boards per game since Pittman returned. She dropped 33 on Bryan Station on Saturday even while being triple teamed for much of the game. I am ready for the postseason.

Heartbreaker is from McCreary County...I don't think they had a win over Bryan Station on Saturday.

Hammond is something special, no doubt about it. She is one of the best high school girl's basketball players I have ever seen. I hope she wins Miss Kentucky basketball.

Getting the cart before the horse just a little, aren't we? I also believe Rock is one of the elite teams in the state, but beware the Ides of March....there is the district and the region first. Rock beats everybody in a "best of" series scenario.....but who knows what can happen on any given night?
