What do you get from playing Holmes close. Lets see the same thing Newport did a loss. Like i said IMO i think Newport is better than NCC and Boone County.

Yes they split the two games and in the first game Newport didnt shoot well either. We will just have to agree to disagree then. It will be decided in the district if NCC can get by Highlands first and then play Newport in the championship.

Im glad to see someone take notice of Newport. They are IMO at least the second best team in the 9th region and to have them ranked 4th in NKY is unbelievable. They have beat the two teams in front of them in Boone County and Newport Central Catholic.

Congratulations!!! Glad to see Newports seniors having a great season. They have worked hard and its paying off with a record of 23-4.

I know Newport is not very strong and people dont pay much attention to them but that Jones kid is a real good player.

I would keep and i on Travis Jones and Shawn Klass(Newport) to have great years. Both have started since they were frosh and they both had solid seasons last year.

Congratulations to Casey McDaniels for scoring his 1000th point. Good kid and hard worker in the classroom and on the court.

I agree but i think it should be only one team from each district whether you seed or not. Dayton ,Bellevue and even Newport thinks this is the only way to have a shot at the region. Normally they cant compete with Highlands and Newport Catholic but only once in while (Newport) has a good team.

Everyone talks about Newport not seeding. No one ever says nothing about Bellevue and Dayton not in favor of seeding. Newport is getting smaller every year. The luck of the draw is good for all and if your team is good enough then they have to beat the best anyway.

I totally agree with you. I just wanted to see the kids decide the outcome of the game not the officals.Congrats to both teams because it was a great game with both teams having ups and downs.All those kids were playing their hearts out and you could see and feel their emotions.Great game and good luck Newport you guys deserve it.

Who wins the All A Championship tonight?

Newport is the #2 ranked team in NKY and dont have a player on the list somewhere.

Cannot have this list witout Foster,McDaniels and Luther of Newport.

Newport pulled away after the first period to advance in the All A.

Free throws is whats wrong with Newports team.They need to work on this instead of dunks and three pointers.In a big game free throws is going to cost them if they dont start shooting them better.

Just NCC people because all the tougher teams are on the otherside of the bracket. NCC wont have a tough game till the finals.
