Dogs travel to Ft. Thomas Friday night to take on the Birds.

I actually think the Birds will rise to the occasion especially since this is the old team that Coach Flynn took downstate many years ago.

 

Hopefully Watson will be back from sickness as they will need him.

Holmes traditionally hasn't played well at Highlands. The past two games there, Holmes has needed overtime and a late 4th quarter surge to beat the Birds.

 

I think Holmes gets the W, but by how much will depend on whether or not Watson plays. He played very well against the Dogs last year.

 

Pittman should be the deciding factor in the game though. Nobody could stop him for Highlands last year and without Grubbs, I see them having an even tougher time defending him this year.

No really big man to step up to the likes of Pittman or Rice will be tough for the Birds. Im saying that Pittman goes for 25 and Holmes wins by 15.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pittman dropped 25 but I would be surprised if Holmes won by more than 10.

I asked this question in the last game thread, but does Holmes webcast their games anywhere? I would like the chance to listen to them on Saturday when they play Warren Central.

I think Holmes is too much for Highlands. I give Holmes the win by 8.

These teams both have "bi-polar" tendencies, so it really depends on which team shows up. If Holmes comes in playing hard, getting the ball in deep to Pittman, avoiding silly mistakes, and playing the type of ball that they have showed glimpse's that they are capable of, they win this one easy.

 

If they come in playing the type of ball that got them beat by Ryle, nearly by Dixie, and that kept Villa Madonna and Beechwood in the game for over a half, and Highlands plays with in there game plan and can somehow crash down on Pittman and make Holmes settle for jumpers or for turnovers then Highlands has a chance to win this one.

 

I however will make my prediction saying both teams play to the level they are capible and I got Holmes by 10.

Holmes in a close one, would not be surprised if it went the other way.The Dog's are just not focused this year. And don't know who will match up with Pittman but gonna be a though task for Steward or whoever with Grubbs being out.That's why i give the edge to Holmes.
