Ryle 62 St. Henry 48
Janszen is really quite an athlete. She can defend all 5 positions and is deceptivley quick. Ashley Cheeseman has really taken her game to the next level in the past month.

Neport Central Catholic @ Walton-Verona Prediction 1/25
Since I haven't seen Walton play, it would be hard for me call. Conventional wisdom tells me NCC but then again, I picked NDA against WV. Should be a good game either way.

Notre Dame 72 Conner 55
Conner played Ryle extremely well in the 1st half a couple of weeks ago also, then the wheels came off. Coach Stamm has his girls playing hard, they just don't have the horses some other teams do. I hear the next few years, with talent moving up, the future looks bright in Hebron.

Ryle vs St. Henry Predictions 1/25 at Ryle
It's been a long cold winter, my friend:), Look forward to seeing you soon.

Ryle vs St. Henry Predictions 1/25 at Ryle
By the way, paNDA, you would look great in Ryle's orange and black rather than the Boone light blue you've been shrouded in this season:)

Ryle vs St. Henry Predictions 1/25 at Ryle
Not my wife, some bball fans who follow the 8th and 9th regions.

Ryle vs St. Henry Predictions 1/25 at Ryle
Yes, it is, the girls game is at 6pm and the boys vs Holmes follows.

Ryle vs St. Henry Predictions 1/25 at Ryle
Other than the matchup at Mercer County last winter when Ryle dominated the Crusaders, these have always been tough matchups. The past 2 years in the Regionals have been brutal games with the teams splitting the contests. I know about Gamm and Jantzen but am not familiar with the rest of the team. As far as Ryle goes, they are playing as well as any team in the State right now. They are scoring at a clip of 76 pts. a game over the past 4 games. Each of the 1st 7 players are capable of scoring 20 plus per game. Unless they just have a flat game, I see Ryle taking this contest. A neutral observer and fan of girls basketball approached me last night after the game and said they have seen Boone, St. Henry, NDA, and NCC all play this year and that they believe Ryle is 15 points better than any team in the 9th Region. That will be left to be seen, as I have not seen these teams play so I cannot make such bold predictions.

Ryle vs St. Henry Predictions 1/25 at Ryle
I knew that, sorry folks:) I'm a little road weary. Ryle played only their 2nd home game last night.

Newport Catholic wins 5th straight 9th region All A Title
Nice win Lady Breds! Good luck in Richmond! 5 All A's in a row is quite impressive. See you next week on the hill:)
-
Notre Dame 72 Conner 55
Nice win Pandas! Sounds like Hannah Thelen had a breakout game. I expect more games like this from her over the next couple of years:)
-
Owen County 55 Anderson County 44
Not yet.

Owen County 55 Anderson County 44
Final score just in from this afternoon's game at Anderson County.

Jenna Crittendon Ryle's Girls all Time Scorer and Rebounder
At 7:15 this evening, before the the start of the game with Central Hardin at Ryle, Jenna will be honored for joining the 1000 point club earlier this year and for now being the #1 scorer and rebounder in Ryle's Girls Basketball History. Senior, Abby Jump, will also be honored for entering the 1000 point club earlier this year. Congratulations to both young ladies!

Boone County 68 Highlands 42
Easy to say in your position.

Boone County 68 Highlands 42
The local officiating has been suspect for years, IMO. This past Tuesday in Ryle's game against Simon Kenton they showed favoritism towards Wainscott, but in a blow out it didn't really matter. In a much tighter game it would of been huge. Certain players and certain coaches over the years have gotten special treatment. That's just life in the 9th Region. Being a referee is undoubtably a thankless job but if this is something you like and choose to do, please keep your head in the game and set the tone early and call it both ways.

BGP Girls Top 20 for Jan. 18
Isn't this fun when more people and more different opinions get inolved:)
-
Boone County 68 Highlands 42
Boone always has gotten preferential treatment from the local refs. On your other comment I don't Boone wins the 9th Region hands down... just saying...

Talk About Toughening Your Schedule!
I agree with the 7th Region being the toughest in the State. I think the 9th is in the Top 3 and on a normal year the 33rd District is in the top 2 toughest in the State. Sounds like a great tournament ahead in Louisville.
