  1. I want to thank all of you for your opinions and feedback on this thread. This is the kind of thought provoking and reactive responses I love on BGP. I just figure if I keep making enough noise about my Lady Raiders more people will take notice. I love my girls but I know they have a long way to go (Diddle). I also think that girls basketball, in Kentucky, is ready to step out and be noticed on a broader level thanks to the Boone's , Marion Co.'s, Mercy, and Manuals leading the way.
  2. I just looked on Richerds and noticed that while Ryle is 0-1 against the Top 20(5 point loss to Sacred Heart) Marion County is 0-2 and Boone is 1-1.
  3. I've looked at all of the ranked teams schedules , either the BGP rankings or the Courier- Journals and I have yet to find a team who has payed a better schedule. Boone beat Marion Co. in Lexington and while that is an impressive win they lost ugly to 2 Cincinnati Schools. Ryle lost ugly to Colerain. I don't see the E'Towns, Rockcastle County, Mercy, Sacred Heart playing anyone of the 3 teams Ryle played in Florida winning 2 out of 3. But. as a lot of people have stated, other than bragging rights for their crazy fans, like me , they don't mean squat. The only teams that are remembered are the ones who go to Diddle. As it should be.
  4. You're correct, I did:)
  5. Ryle's 3 losses are to Cincinnati Colerain, Villa Marie Academy of Pa., and Louisville Sacred Heart. They have only play 3 teams in the 9th Region,so far, and none of those games were even close. They still have Boone, NCC, St. Henry and NDA on their regular season schedule. Boone is the only other local school who has played a schedule comparable to Ryle's.
  6. I knew I could wake up the BGP er's if I tried hard enough:)
  7. For Ryle not to be in the top 5 or 6 is beyond belief with the schedule they have played so far and to be 11-3 against some pretty tough competition.
  8. Idon't think you can make a call as to whom I have or have not watched play, unless you're my wife, and she is in my living room at this moment:) It gets a little old when I read these rankings and my Lady Raiders keep getting disrespected. Boone is close, but there aren't many teams in the Top 20 who have played a schedule like Ryle has played, and to be 11-3 and be ranked outside of the Top 10 is slighting them. Just my own humble opinion, of course:)
  9. 2 very good and very tall young ladies who have since moved on.
  10. 15-0 is 15-0... period... yes, their schedule is going to get much tougher soon, but give these girls and their coach a little deserved credit.
  11. Why are any teams scrimmaging this time of year?
  12. I'd have to bump Marion county out of number 6 and replace them with Ryle. That is not the same Marion county team of a year ago.
  13. On the girls side anyway:) I've seen some pretty testy comments on the boys basketball and football side.
  14. Keeping their legs fresh is always a concern. This is the second year in a row they have loaded up their early season schedule and it seems to benefit them, so far. The Boone and NCC, St. Henry games are always fun and very competitive and I see that again this year. I got a chance to wtch a little of NCC in Lexington Catholic's tourney and Coach Dawn has his girls playing well.
  15. I don't know Crunch, it's been a rather boring year on BGP so far. I like to spar a little bit, as you know, and I haven't been able to entice anyone into the ring this year. Februrary 4th is closing in though and I'm sure the "sleepers" will voice their opinions:) This year's Boone/Ryle matchups ( I predict 3 again) should be a lot of fun. I haven't seen that many other local teams play so far this year but they will all have their their hands full when they play the Lady Raiders. From what i have read in the paper and online, Boone's role players are developing nicely. Should be an exciting February and March.
  16. Simon-Kenton, unfortunately got Ryle's most complete game of the year. This was the way they played in their double OT thilling win over one of Florida's top teams in Ft. Meyers over the Christmas Holidays. The Lady Pioneers will rebound from last night and I'm sure they will make some noise in the 8th Region before the season ends.
  17. Tianna Douthit also had a great game with 13 points.
  18. Nice pictures! 9 point turnaround in 45 seconds is pretty amazing.
  19. Nice win Camels! 15-0 is pretty impressive. See you last game of the regular season. Looking forward to a great game.
  20. Ryle dominated this one from the opening tip. Led by Cheeseman 18, Oliverio 15, Crittendon 13, Johnson 12 and Jump with 8. This was the most complete game I've watched Ryle play this year.
  21. Final score from Independence.
  22. Any thoughts on this Tuesday night matchup?
  23. Their long road trips are over for the year. They play Tuesday night at Simon Kenton. Home Thursday against Cooper. Ashley and Dawn have both been playing extremely well, should be a fun remainder of the season for the Lady Raiders.
