Take a look at these two tournaments in Louisville over the next two weeks, assuming of course the weather is cooperative. There is the potential for some great matchups among the top rated teams in Kentucky.

Looking at this list causes one to think that there is no tougher region in all Kentucky than the 7th region. By the time the teams gather down in Bowling Green in March, it's difficult to predict who will represent from the 7th, it is so tough. Yes, there are a number of teams around the state several teams capable of winning, but there may be two or three WITHIN the 7th capable of winning it all, too! Wow, what a tough road just to get out of the region!

Have to agree. 7th Region is probably (IMO) the toughest in the state!

Tough to argue that! Four teams in the LIT ratings Top 20. 9th has 3 as does the 11th, and the 5th and 12th each have 2. If you take the average LIT ratings of the top five teams in each of those regions it looks like this:

7th - 102.9

9th - 96.8

11th - 93.9

12th - 92.0

5th - 88.0

And if you go deeper than five teams per region the 7th looks even stronger overall.

It is this way every year. Somewhat of a shame not to have the best 16 teams competing in Bowling Green but no one would every change this states format.

I agree with the 7th Region being the toughest in the State. I think the 9th is in the Top 3 and on a normal year the 33rd District is in the top 2 toughest in the State. Sounds like a great tournament ahead in Louisville.
