Coach Hicks is in the 11th region, not the 9th

I don't agree with them being "honored" by going to Northern Kentucky, espically since Northern Kentucky basketball is overrated and hasn't won a state title in my lifetime. But a lot of those teams are proven and feel they don't have to make that trip because there are enough good teams around here, (In my case central Kentucky) to play and if Elliot Co. wanted to play those teams they would have to come up here is probably how the coaches feel.

Except Scott County having them down by 20 and calling the dogs off to win by 12 and holding Darius Miller to 5 pts. at the Fieldhouse.

Yeah, they did force a lot of turnovers, I saw halftime stats and Anderson Co. had 15 turnovers and Scott Co. had 4. It was a good game because Anderson Co. was an 8th Region rival with Scott Co. back in the day. Another thing ... great show of class by Anderson County coach at the end of the game by not shaking the Scott Co. players hands. You should be proud buddy.

It's hard to give them a break with such a poor schedule. Scott County has the same amount of home games, had one taken away from them when they moved the Clark Co. game to Memorial, play the 11th region (Bryan Station twice), then have out of region games against Ballard and Mason Co. and going to a South Carolina Christmas tournament, and playing the pre-season #1 team in the country, Duncanville, TX. There is no excuse for the poor schedule. It's the own loss though, they will be less prepared when March rolls around.

Yes! That game was great comedy. Me and my buddies in the stands couldn't stop laughing ... even though those Ben Gal chicks were pretty hot.

I agree with you about these people cheering for kids to fail. High School basketball is a tricky game and sometimes you will get close games like this, espically when you have a target on your back and your one of the teams everyone wants to beat. Saw it first hand when Tates Creek gave Scott Co. a scare earlier this year ... BTW Eta, im hoping that my Cards run into your Bulldogs again somewhere down the line in March ... but we have a while before we have to worry about that.

I haven't got a chance to see Catholic yet, but they will probably get about 8-10 points from there "home court advantage," which will make it a tough game for a young GRC bunch. But there improving and I think there post game will overpower Catholic ... really anxious to see the Stentzel/Sanford matchup. I say GRC by 4.

I haven't got to see Elliot this year, but if they have everyone back on a team that gave the state champs all they wanted last year, then they can't be too bad. Scott County will be good, just give them time to play together and mesh. Defending and rebounding must improve for them, Holmes exposed that when they played a few weeks back.

A couple of other Louisville schools that I didn't see, but maybe I skipped over are PRP and Fairdale. I know Fairdale had a real good run there in the early 90's and have been back to Rupp recently, and PRP always seems to come up just a little short when they get to The Sweet 16, but I believe they won it in '89 if im not mistaken.
