  1. This is a nice event, big thanks to Dixie and there staff for hosting, to Kevin Rendgering for finding sponsors, doing pa, for getting it organized , thanks for all 8 umps that donated time and I know many more offered, thanks to all the players who seemed to get along so great, hope this event continues, I wish more coaches would show up for this event , there was many there but also quite a few missing, I hope this event continues to grow and the money at the gate goes to an outstanding organization in special Olympics, missed the Lawnboy, I'm sure he was there is spirit, thanks to all again.
  2. Yea, there will be some who can't make it, it's bad anytime you reshedule, feel bad for Kevin, he has worked hard on putting this together, and the proceeds go to a great group in special Olympics, hope it works out for all. Feel bad for the lawnboy who is one of fast pitch biggest and best supporters.
  3. Just got a text from Kevin, Game is OFF, rescheduled for Friday, same time
  4. I was told Dixie is not available the rest of the week if it rains out, football allstar game is at Dixie Thursday and Dixie coach not available Friday, hopefully it will not rain out.
  5. Brother, been ump assigner for many years, has kept football and basketball stats for Holmes since the mid 60's, teacher at Holmes.
  6. Yes, this a great event, big thanks to Kevin Rendgering for working hard on this again, the umps donate there time and most of the gate goes to norther ky special Olympics.
  7. Funny one lawnboy, now way, they did a nice job as usual
  8. Thanks for stopping by Panda, great job as always.
  9. Congrats to Cov Catholic and staff, best of luck down state and it would be nice to have two state title banners in the 35 th and the ninth region, i am a Bulldog guy, but I a happy for " the old guy" , Mark, and Mr Kalin, and so many other supporters of Cov Cath, I hope the crazies show up strong, look forward to many more battles between two great programs, to the Bulldogs, thanks for another exciting year of basketball, I am the pa for the Dogs and I am always proud to be a Bulldog, finally thanks to The Bank of Ky and Mr Steidel for a great show.
  10. Also wanted to thank for for supporting high school sports, you do a really nice job, for some folks who can't attend , even though I plan on being in attendance, there are those who can't make it , so thank you.
  11. Was told a decision will be made by 12 o'clock, they have to let the 7th region officials know early enough for travel.
  12. Holmes played a very good 2nd half, The Cardinals came out on fire hitting 4 of there 5 attempts from 3 point range in the first half, I really like #5 , King, he is very good, Bolden play a complete game tonight and the dogs ran, they are at there best when they get the ball and go, Hill had a nice game as did Chames considering he sat a lot with fouls, good luck to both teams in the districts.
  13. Senior night for the dogs, good match up for both teams to head to the districts , will take the dogs by 9, good luck to both teams.
  14. Not sure I have ever saw Coach Booher that upset over one call, Coach Listerman has the birds playing hard, good luck the rest of the season to both teams.
  15. Game was very close after one, I think Holmes had a two point lead, Snapp, a very very good player and will be one of the best in his class his senior year, Hill and Mclendon played very good for Holmes, it seems Holmes finally just wore Newport down, this may be the deepest Holmes team in years, they come at you in waves, Bolden has had better games, but he still had 18 and Chames got two quick fouls, Housley shot the ball well tonight, Newport just could not match bench players, I thought Newport played extremely hard and Coach Snapp works hard, just to much talent for the dogs.
  16. I am not sure if they still have it, but Scott used to have the best Chili in town for a football game, Holmes has some of the best pop corn for Football and Basketball.
  17. Congrats Walter, happy for you and hope you keep up the outstanding job you do for high school sports, hope to still see you at a few Bulldog games, wish you the best.
  18. Arnold looks very good, wears number 10 and his name was called quite a few times for tackles, he is very active and I am glad he decided to play, something no one has said, I think Holmes only had one punt, but Scruggs can really kick the ball, it was I believe around a 45 yard punt and very high, in the NC scrimmage he had one for 60 yards( with the roll) and he is dangerous back there, he has the option to run it at times, will be a fun team to watch and will be a big test next week against a very good Scott team.
