  1. Thanks, glad to hear about Shaw, she has really played hard. They need to find a consistent scorer to be a contender. I would say they have no one averaging double figures.
  2. What about Shelby, did anyone play well for them? Was the game really that physical? Was it a typical homer game or was it pretty well officiated?
  3. She made 11 of 37 shots. The rest of the team was 6 of 37. Hard to win with only one kid shooting. The rest tend to stand and watch. Not much rebounding except for #54.
  4. Researched myself. Found out one girl from Scott Co took 37 shots (wow) coach can't be to happy. Shelby Co had 3 girls with 16+ and according to Lit. ratings not an upset. Sorry for the bad post.
  5. Did anyone see this game and did anyone see this coming?
  6. What happened at this game? Did anyone see this coming? Shelby 66 Scott 48.
  7. You have to wonder how much thought goes into the ranking of some of the mid-level teams in the middle of the regions. I like the 8th region, S.Oldham is 3rd but only 4 -9 and lost to both Shelby and Oldham, 4th and 5th respectfully
  8. Alot of those question should be answered Monday. I would expect Shelby to win big but what do I know.
  9. I totally agree its SK region to lose. Shelby just doesn't seem to understand the game like I thought they would at this point, they don't play as a team and are very selfish to date. They have a couple players that need to step up demand the ball. Anderson is to predictable, stop Fultz and they won't score 20 points a game. When they start playing better teams that know to stop her they will struggle. SK is the whole package and proves it every night. No other real threats in a weak region. Just my opinion.
  10. Sorry hit enter to soon. I would say the biggest disappointment is OC, Owen . the biggest surprise is HC.
  11. 4 to 5 games into the young season and SK, AC, and SC seem to still be the top of the region.
  12. LaCompte is #11, she had 11 points and 11 rebounds and sit out the second quarter with 2 fouls. #15 is Stucker, is had 10 points and 7 rebounds and a very nice game. When Shelbys shots start falling they will be a nice ball club. The freshman point gaurd whom is serving a 2 game suspenion will help a lot on both ends. Defense still has a long way to go to be successful.
  13. 5pt-CLAY CO 3pt-SHELBY CO 3pt-SACRED HEART 1pt ROCKCASTLE 1pt LEX CATH 1pt SIMON KENTON 1pt MERCER CO 1pt-BRACKEN CO 1pt PRESTONBURG 1pt-FRANKLIN CO TIE 97PTS
  14. I agree with all. A list of girls, by a few coaches is just that, a list of girls. Any time you list you leave some off and add some iffies. How the girls on the list and not on the list respond is the true tale. I hope for a injury free season for ALL and let the cream rise.
  15. In reply to 1734 and C. Mike, yes I have had the fortune of not only seeing her but every girl in the region play numberous times. I was only saying from the list there are several girls more deserving then she. The freshman from Anderson, the freshman and 8th grader from Shelby, the freshman from S Oldham. I know a lot of people that are saying the region is wide open are going to be shocked. AC, SC, and SO just reload and get going. Coaching, work ethic and the letters on their chest mean more for certain kids. That all I meant.
  16. Probably a nice player for Wtown and you should be proud but I doubt she deserves to be in the top 10.
  17. Like I have said all along SC will be deep and a very fun team to watch this year. They have six guards and four fowards and will play a fast pace full court pressure and run and guns, They will by mid Dec. start a freshman at the point a jr at two guard sr at the three, 8th grader at four an sr at five. The bench will have 2 jr 2 sr and a soph. Two deep at each position without losing much. Possibly the best team (1 thru 10) Zimmermann has had. Should be fun.
  18. I agree with everythink you say about Tolliver, Fultz and Lecompte. All three are very athletic and should be ready to lead their teams. Beudrie (sp) I don't remember. OC had two bigs that carried the load, Milton and the red head. Is she a guard, or big girl?
  19. As I've stated on a different post, AC with Flutz, SK with Tolliver and SC with Lecompte will be the only real contenders because of talent, coaching staff and players knowledge of the game. Not meaning this to sound harsh, I really don't but it is the facts.
  20. I think that's about right for Lecompte. Conley and Flutz are more experienced but she is pretty athletic and a good defender. The region is just down in talent this year. None below are better and I can't think of anyone left out.
  21. Yes, but one game doesn't make a season. plus they lost their whole infield and best outfielder
  22. I just don't see Oldham being a factor. SK will be big but slow. AC will be AC, post good numbers because of schedule and fissle in the end. SC will probaly start an 8th grader a freshman at point with Lecompte and two more guards. And all four will be the strongest the region has to offer. Rebuilding year for all!
