Wireman
Isn't #3 Manual's only loss this season to #4 (and undefeated) Rowan County? That makes sense

That makes sense  So since Bracken Co. beat Paris they should be ahead of them, if we hold this as the standard. IMO, Manual is the better team. curry4AD
You have to wonder how much thought goes into the ranking of some of the mid-level teams in the middle of the regions. I like the 8th region, S.Oldham is 3rd but only 4 -9 and lost to both Shelby and Oldham, 4th and 5th respectfully

Manual is the better team but their only loss is a 10-point loss to Rowan County. Yeah, that makes perfect sense :thumb:
Mr.Viking
When teams don't turn the ball over, Manual will struggle to score if Jones doesn't get touches. Guess head to head scores mean nothing anymore. Edited January 9, 2009 by Hearsay
Wireman
Then why have a ranking system if you're going to go with your opinion of who the best team is rather than going by what has actually happened on the court? I personally think that USC would destroy Utah if they played a head-to-head matchup in college football. However, Utah was undefeated, so they are ranked #2, which is ahead of USC. Even though I think USC is the better team, Utah deserves the higher ranking. Rowan County deserves the higher ranking at this point in the season, regardless of who might win a mythical rematch. imo
That link must be last years because when I click on I see Mason County at #10 with a 10-2 record. Claude Henry Smmoott
You can argue these things all day. You have to look at more than one game... Manual's resume is pretty impressive. And yes I know they lost to Rowan. But would Rowan be unbeaten had they played Manual's schedule? We will never know. They are two really good teams and the district/region/state tournaments will settle it all. THAT is what separates it from the Bowl Crappy Series.... Mr.Viking
Would Manual have beaten Boone Co. or Notre Dame? ND beat Christian by 20+. Lets' just say they're both pretty good.
Over And Back
Would Manual have beaten Boone Co. or Notre Dame? ND beat Christian by 20+. Lets' just say they're both pretty good. I agree that Manual and Rowan are both really good. Would Manual beat Boone this year? Yes, I believe so. Fookes has a good team this season but not as good as some of her past teams (IMO). When ND beat Christian they still had their best player Jackson who was out during Rowan's overtime victory over ND. Rowan is definitely the best team at the present time in the 16th region. If Rowan were to play Manual again, however, I do think that Manual would get the victory (again JMO)
