Ethan Faulkner to sign with NKU
Sorry man I must have misunderstood what you were saying and I never once have said that you have to go D1 to be succesful. Didn't realize I would get yelled at for asking a question on here I thought that's what this whole site was about for sports. :creepy:

Lloyd Memorial Invitational
Why would Holmes get in a tournament like this when there are numerous very good tournaments around the state over christmas break? Was it like a two year deal or what?

Cov. Holy Cross vs. Desales
That's a bold statement seeing as how not many teams have this year, especially when Roenker, Smith, and Walker have all been healthy, but we'll just have to wait and see.:thumb:

Yup, and we won't know who's right until the fat lady sings.

Cov. Holy Cross 56 Carroll County 3
If I had to choose one I would say they were a running team, but they couldn't move the ball running it against HC and therefore went to the passing game where they found a couple weak spots, but they still didn't have over 100 yards in passing if I remember correctly, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Knox Central at Boyd predictions
Knox is a very sound football team with good athletes. If they can spread the ball around to their playmakers they could make a run.

And as I said Newport couldn't run against HC and could only pass against them a couple times. I was just using the same reference you did.

All I'm saying is HC is a smash-mouth football team who hits hard. You can ask anyone around NKY, and they play hard. Just because they have those kind of stats doesn't mean they are better as there are a lot of factors such as strength of schedule, who's hurt, and who comes to play that day. I don't think either of us are convincing the other. :argue:- Cov. Holy Cross 56 Carroll County 3
Alright let's look at HC's schedule. They played 3 six A teams in Ryle, Simon Kenton, and Cooper, 2 five A teams in Holmes and South Laurel, a tough 4 A team in Knox Central, all of their 2A district teams which includes 2A power in New Cath, and lastly 1A power in Beechwood. That schedule is without a doubt one of the toughest in 2A, don't be fooled by HC's record as they played almost all of these games close. Also if we look at like opponents we have- HC over Newport 13-6 Desales over Newport 24-12 HC over Carrol County 56-3 Desales over Carrol County 30-15 If you are going to use the excuse of Carrol County not being able to pass due to the conditions then you could say Newport could fall under that too. The passing game is the only thing Newport had on HC as they held them to well under 100 yards rushing for the game. Also HC didn't allow Carrol County to run the ball at all today. I understand if you take Desales as that's your opinion, but for you to say Desales will blow HC out "given the facts" is just an untrue statement.- Cov. Holy Cross vs. Desales

So how long approximately do you think it will be until they do go D1?- Cov. Holy Cross 56 Carroll County 3
That's your opinion, but the facts just don't add up to where Desales is undoubtedly the winner in this one.- Desales 24 Newport 12
I agree as he showed some very good promise in the games I saw him play in. He'll be up there next year by the end of the year with the likes of Nick West who I think is without a doubt the top returning QB next year.- Cov. Holy Cross vs. Desales
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From what I've seen I think you have to go with HC over Desales. I saw the HC-CC game and the Desales-CC game. CC couldn't move the ball against HC. I think they got maybe four first downs the whole game. Against Desales, CC moved the ball effectively and it was a good game. Therefore, I'm going to say HC 27-14- Cov. Holy Cross 56 Carroll County 3

Overall, for the game you hate to see one team lose with Seniors on the squad, but it had to happen to one and hopefully HC can make a run when it counts.- Cov. Holy Cross 56 Carroll County 3
Based on what? HC steam rolled Carroll County and Desales won by 15.- Cov. Holy Cross 56 Carroll County 3

I would think Gallatin over Bellevue was one. I believe, Bellevue was in the top ten in 1a.- Hensley Rating System Class 4A Rankings and Round 1 Predictions

HC shgould roll, they have played superior competition all season and are ready for this game. CC doesn't have the personel to stop the HC rushing attack IMO. - Cov. Holy Cross vs. Desales
