My bad I misread the first post! However that being said, Lafayette is a defensive team, I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them play this season, but I have seen FH,and just based on Lafayette's numbers this season I just didn't see how it could be possible for them to be faster than FH. I still think WH has a chance in this one,as I said before Lafayette's offense is somewhat lacking compared to years past, I also said that I think it will be a close game that will be decided in the trenches, which I think favors WH offense better than Lafayette's.

I am a very big WH fan, and I will be the first to say that Cam is a very good kicker, but CoachBuckett is right there are a lot of difference in being able to kick one that far in practice and being able to do it in the game, as much as I would like to see it happen we have to be realistic here. Oldonetechnique, it is not possible for Lafayette to be faster than FH, while they do have a good defense, their offense is somewhat lacking this season.

Actually he's more of a kicker converted to WR. Good Luck to the Mustangs as well.

That's ok ColonelMike I understand, Stability and confidence is what this team needs, thats something they haven't had here in quite sometime. I think Coach Miller is on the right track to building a successfull program here, hopefully he sticks around for awhile. Cam certainly has the leg for it.

As a few others have said I have no dog in this fight, not being associated with CCH in any way I know none of these people, but I will say as a parent with a child that played High School sports this sort of thing goes on in all programs. Usually the ones doing most of the complaining are ones that never do anything to help the booster club or the program. As a fan I will be the first to tell you it is easy to call a play after the whistle has blown or the game is over, and although tha coaches may know football they cannot see the future, so they do not have the benefit of knowing the result before they make the call. To those of you who want to continue to bash the coaches and players or booster club members, first of all keep your dirty laundry internal discuss your concerns in a closed meeting with the coaching staff and the AD, if you are not willing to do that or help out and move the program in a positive direction then keep your mouth shut, because the ones you hurt are the ones on the field each week. High School sports are about the kids not the parents or fans.

I agree 100% steamroller, and a good football team will capitalize on your mistakes and weaknesses. I guess I should have went on to say that Lafayette doesn't have near the speed of Frankfort High, nor do they have an offense comparable to North Oldhams. I believe this to be a close low scoring game that will be decided in the trenches, in which case I think favors Western Hills. If you look at the stats, and I know you can't use stats to determine if one team is better than another, and as you and ColonelMike have stated they have only scored 40+ points twice this season against lesser opponents. My point being it wouldn't be a blowout by Lafayette I wasn't trying to downplay Hills Losses to FHS and NO they were simply outplayed in one aspect or another in both cases, that being said Hills is a very good solid team and very capable of beating Lafayette.

Frankfort 28-14

Hills defense has held up pretty strong all season even with the 2 losses to Frankfort and North Oldham. In the loss against FHS if you take away the 2 kickoffs and the punt that was returned for touchdowns Hills was in this game, and held Frankforts Quan Weaver to a little over 100 yards from the line of scrimage. Against NO yeah they gave up 200+ on the ground they still held North Oldham to only 17 points. The offense had a few blunders last week, but Coach Miller and these kids will get their heads clear and be ready to play. Lafayette has only scored 40+ points against 2 teams this season and neither of those teams are the caliber of this Western Hills team.

This week Lafayette comes to the Wolverine Den, you know Lafayette is pretty solid, but I think I like Western Hills and the home field advantage. I'm gonna say Hills by a touchdown 28 - 21

Well if there was I missed it to!!! Good luck to NO as well, I was quite impressed their offense and the fact that they run it very effectively. Yeah I like this Western Hills team, and not having a kid on the team allows me to be pretty objective. It took me about half the season to learn their names. Curry is a very good QB and more times than not makes good decisions. Hills running game has come along quite nicely as well this season the split between passing yards and rushing yards are pretty even @ 1100+ each. Justin Wright being the primary workhorse. They have a pretty tough opponent the first game of the playoffs, but if they play like they have previously this season they can come away with a W. The whole District this season is going to be pretty competitive.

ColonelMike you are exactly right, as far as the fake punt, even someone that had never seen a game would have known that #7 wasn't going to punt that ball. There were a few decisions by the coaches that struck me as odd. 1- as the first half is closing down and it's 4th and feet you punt the ball away giving even more momentum to your opponent, NO's defense had played pretty good but I think they could have gotten a yard or two. 2 - continually try to throw the ball 30, 40, 50 yards down field when it's early in the game and you don't have to have it all at once, especially when that's not they way you have done things all season, Curry has a heck of an arm and it's good to know you can throw it that far if you need to. Thoughout most of this season they had called plays that chipped away at it 5, 10, 15 yards at a time with a combination of run and pass, and done quite well might I add. Again North's defense played a pretty good game, but arm tackling, Dropped passes, fumbles, missed blocking assignments, Curry crossing the LOS before throwing the ball, that's just not like this team. Some of that can be attributed to the defense of NO, but I also think that maybe the kids tried to hard to make big plays knowing how important this game was in order to make their coaches and fans proud. Don't get me wrong Coach Miller and staff and the players have done an excellent job of getting this team to where they are right now, and I think it's just gonna get better from here. I think the kids can put the last couple of weeks behind them and get their heads clear they could make a pretty good showing in the playoffs. GO HILLS! :dancingpa

Yeah I'm still coming wouldn't let a little rain keep me away, gonna be to good of a game. I'll try to swing by if I can get there early enough.

I don't doubt that one bit they aren't 7 - 0 by accident, however Hills is that much better than last year as well. I agree this should be a good game I don't think it will be a blowout either way. Thanks for the directions look forward to seeing your new stadium.

One more thing ColnelMike how about some directions from hills to north Oldhams Field.

Oh! Hills remembers all to well the butt whoppin they took last year, and NO is a solid team, but Hills also has a few weapons in their arsenal with several kids that can run the ball along with Curry's passing ability. I would have to go with Hills defense from the LOS they have been pretty good against the run this season. All that being said this should be a very good and close game, But I'm afraid I would have to turn that score around I'll still say Hills 35 - NO 28

Western Hills defense has played well all season, had a few kinks last week on special teams, but I think Coach Miller will get those worked out for this week.

I feel the same way Miller is doing a great job, and the kids believe in him and themselves. Good luck to you guy's as well, from what I seen Friday night FHS has a real good chance to bring home a State championship this year Best of luck and hopefully everyone stays healthy.
