  1. WELCOME TO THE YMCA. Did everyone get their TROPHY? :jump:  :ylsuper:  :thumb:
  2. I like this one, except I would move undefeated North Oldham to 4 or 5. Then flip Estill and Russell.
  3. Certainly a lack of preperation and half speed play account for a lot of injuries, I to believe that some teams do not condition properly or stretch properly before activity. Running is just running if there are not other drills or exercises are not mixed in.
  4. Why does no one give SO a chance. Do they have a chance to win a game at all this year? They seem to have some athletes. Why are they doing so poorly? Someone said that not only have they not won this year, they have not won a game since they beat Grant Co. in the 3rd or 4th game LAST YEAR? Is that true? Great facilities, a lot of kids......what is going on here? I can remember a time when SO at least had some respect.
  5. Is this just NKY coaches? If so we need to start one for the state. Only one post mentioned Billy Martin of North Oldham. I do not see HOW he would not be on the short list for this honor. Unbelievable job he has done there. First of all they are undefeated. Secondly the kids are excited to play for him. Each year he gets kids to come back that had quit. He relates well with the kids and they seem to respect him. HE GETS MY VOTE!
  6. 7 - North Oldham 5 - Male 3 - Carroll County 2 - South Oldham 1 - PRP Tiebreaker - South Oldham
  7. Congratulations to the University of Louisville for standing up for the Football Playing youth of Today and the Future! Guess I won't be seeing anymore Championship games. Good Luck to All!
  8. Here is the problem. Coaches, in all sports, seem to feel that "last Years players" are entitled to be on the team. They know what they have. If a kid sat out ayear, worked on his game, came back and was not given an opportunity to prove himself against the Coaches Crew, then get out of that school and play somewhere else. If you sat out your eligibility is not in question. That coach is destined for failure. No different than Seniors feeling entitled to play becasue they are seniors. YOU EARN SPOTS ON A TEAM AND YOU EARN PLAYING TIME. YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED!!!!!!
  9. PRP Keeps it close for before the opening Kickoff. Who starts a thread like this. The only team in the state that can compete with X is T. Don't try to make a mockery of the rest by saying that "this could be tough". It x vs PRP for gods sake. x - 60 PRP - 14
  10. 7.....North Hardin 5.....Oldham Co. 3.....Fern Creek 2.....Monroe Co. 1.....Spencer Co. TB - Fern Creek
  11. They may be off this week. This may be a time they need to get players healthy and get ready for Shelby and North Bullitt. Just like all of the Oldham County Teams, the Dragons still have my support!
  12. Outside of increased chances of injuring a kid, put that thought aside...... What is wrong? It really is a burden for one year. When my son was a Freshman, he played 4 qtrs on Thursday night, 4 Qtrs on Monday night, then he saw time in each Varsity game. SO? The next year it was Monday Night and Friday night. Several Days rest. Then his Junior year it went to Friday nights only. However there are some kids that get Varsity time, that ARE NOT READY. They are thrown to the wolves out of necessity more than "winning" a Frosh or JV game.
  13. In oldham county it's the PARENTS that do the firing! When things don't go their way or their kid is not given a position, they raise a stink until they get it changed. All you have to do is look at the turnover at all three schools to draw this conclusion!
  14. These two will not get any real looks, but I think should be in the discussion Andrew Tuller - North Oldham -Around 800 all purpose yards, 7 TD's and Plays defense also. Brandon Kollenberg - South Oldham - Around 1200 all purpose yards and 7 TD's Seems pretty good by my standards.
  15. 7 - Ballard 5 - South Oldham 3 - Valley 2 - North Bullitt 1 - Fairdale TB - South Oldham
  16. It is unfortunate that you choose to use the term "cry" when you talk about the public schools responses. I find that most of their arguments are well founded in fact but the privates cannot boast the same well grounded arguments. When kids from Oldham, Trimble, Shelby, Carroll, Spencer, Bullitt, Meade, Nelson, Clark, or Floyd can all go to a Private school in Jefferson County, but cannot legally attend any other school in Jefferson County with moving, then there is a disconnect. I go not farther than that. End of Story! I live in Oldham County and the # of kids that live out here and parents drive them into a Jefferson County Private school is unbelievable. The schools in Oldham County cannot go after kids that live in Jefferson county. Call it "Crying". Call it whatever derogatory term makes you feel confident and comfortable in yourself and your beliefs, but the bottom line is that things are not equal! :fire:
  17. I will continue to pull for the Dragons. SO 28 NC 17
