I think South Made Shelby look better than they are. Of course South makes everybody look good. I think it will be a close game with OC coming out on top, 35 - 31.

I wish someone could tell me what is up with the Dragons? I went to this game thinking it would be a good game even if SO did not win. But they do not tackle anybody. They run their 3 man front with no changes to stop the run. They do not tackle. I was very disapointed. If SO makes good running backs look great. I bet the Cissell kid is licking his lips at the SO defense. He is thinking that he can get 500 yards himself. Let's go Dragons. WIN ONE!

Great Post! I feel like I was there. Missing the Gooch kid is going to be a problem, but hopefully he will be healthy enough for the playoffs. I am very proud of the Mustangs. To put a very good 6A team on the ropes and play them down to the wire, very impressive for the little 3Ateam that thought it could! Good luck Mustangs.

Agreed: What about using just district games. If you do not win any, your out. So now all you have to do is win 1 game in your district to be playoff eligible. Or is there just NO answer? :confused:

I guess there are not a lot of Fans of sports in Oldham County on this site. I have tried to pick up stuff from the 3 schools to get out here and mostly get crickets! :sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:

I know this is High School and not the NCAA. I hate the fact that in order to be bowl eligible, all you have to do is get 1 game over average. WOW! I also know that you do not want everyone scheduling "cupcakes". I do like moving all district games to later in the season. Even in a 4 team district if you said everybody goes unles you did not win any games. Then the Team that would have played the 0-fer gets a bye. Why would this not work for every sport? If you don't win ANY games in your district, then you have eliminated yourself from the post season. :argue:

I know now from reading these posts that South does not stand a chance against Shelby. Souths openents are 46 - 18. The only opponent that they have played with a losing record is J-Town. I don't think the Kollenberg kid is going to get much tonight. At running back the dragons are very one dimensional. With him a QB then they have a lot of other options. If that happens then I think you have to give South a glimmer of a chance. Col. Mike, If South struggles that much to throw the ball, what is their QB situation? As always, I will continue to support all Oldham County schools, Go Dragons, Go Mustangs, Go Colonels!

The deal is, that all you have to do is ask coaches everywhere, they all deal with Parents trying to undermine them because their "little Johnnie" is not getting more time, more carries, more, more, more. Parents are ruining sports for kids of all ages. They are all smarter, their kids are better than anybody elses. Keep it up....maybe we can run off every coach in the state!

Anyboby with 7 wins or more is invited. Some districts will not have any representation. So be it. In order to EARN the playoffs, you have to be more than 1 game over 500!(This isn't the NCAAYMCA). Why couldn't you do the same in other sports? Title XI would ensure that you had to do it for the girls as well. How about EARNING YOUR REWARDS????

They may have athletes but they cannot match depth and freshness. Let's be real, Central, as good as they are, is no "t". "x" by as much as they want.

The 6 Class system dis not do this. Under the 4 class system there were still 4 team districts with winless teams getting into the playoffs.

GET OUTTA THERE QUICK! You will NEVER get through or over all of that as it will continue to breed to future participants! RUN AND HIDE! LEAVE THEM TO THEIR OWN DEVICES! PARENTS RUIN EVERYTHING! There have been some great posts in here. The competition aspect goes without saying. Your not going to find anything like it close. The problem does become the money as I know of a kid that was not allowed to play, (well he would have been allowed with stipulations), because his parents could not afford the Florida trip. this happened while otheres were allowed to miss the Florida trip for personal Spring Break plans. This is where you really get into messes!

It happens at all levels. There is no sense in trying to fight it. Let them think that they are king of the world. This issue cannot get resolved with a regulatory body like the KHSAA, how does anything get fixed at the middle school level, when there is no governing body? I got on here to see if I could learn about any Middle School associations that could or might lead to a State champion. Here in Oldham County our teams, (Schools), play in the Mid Bluegrass Conference, but that is as far as it goes. What else is available?
