  1. Gotta agree with PP92 on all fronts. I'll just let him make the arguments for both of us. :thumb:
  2. I think the reason that I believed he should have continued to play is because for years I've compared players' toughness to this: In big game situations, I've kind of grown to expect that kind of heart and desire out of a true football player. Although, I must admit, that's a very unfair standard to set. Looking specifically at the Cutler situation, the bigger issue is his lack of desire to help the team while he wasn't on the field.
  3. After thinking about this loss some... I finally figured out what it is that REALLY bothers me about it. UK lost this game without getting in major foul trouble. That's really been the main problem in the games we've lost up to this point, and I've always been able to attribute it to lack of depth. This time there is no legitimate excuse. Our best players played and it wasn't good enough.
  4. HAHA seriously? I was in the middle of changing my picture while you posted this. Crazy
  5. Atleast I get a new avatar out of this game if nothing else.. :irked:
  6. 3 TD's and no picks... Not to mention he's now 4-1 in the playoffs. I really can't see what's so terrible about that. He's young and makes some mistakes, but when the pressure's on he has a way to make the plays.
  7. Presentation is everything though... The message sent by this book is meant to be a powerful one. Let's say I tell you about some kids starving in Africa. There's a simple message: Poverty is rampant in that part of the world, and it's obviously not a good thing. You get the point. Now let me show you a poor starving child from Africa. Allow you to observe his/her life. The message is still the same, but the impact is completely different. Presentation... The reason Twain shouldn't be censored is because his work was meant to be powerful. It was meant to have a lasting impact on society. Censoring his work only lessens the impact his novel has. That's where I take issue with it.
  8. Because it's a unique opportunity.... Duh....
  9. I have no doubt he's a great DC, and I would be very happy with the hire. Shannon would just be a game-changing hire. Instantly opens up a whole new world of recruiting.
  10. Apparently Vaught backed off of his original statement... Now says Minter is the real hire. Hopefully GT is still hearing the same things he was earlier.
  11. I don't know many teams that have enough depth to get in THAT kind of foul trouble...
  12. Well... What do you expect when 4 of our players foul out.. Hands got kind of tied there.
  13. That no call was complete BS.. I just got up and yelled at my tv. I think it's possible the ref heard me.
  14. Regarding the "almost" wins... I understand that we should not be satisfied with them. But how can you not see them as better then being blown out like we have in the past? At least we are competitive now. I know that's not anything to celebrate, but it is taking a step further. You have to be able to play with teams before you can make the jump to beating them consistently. I think the close wins are good for the program, not as a moral victory... But because they mean we are one step closer. The key is to not stay stagnant at being competitive. I am not happy with a 6-6 season, and I never will be. But, I recognize the fact that some of the losses were games we very easily could have (and probably should have) won. This was definitely not the case in the not-so-distant past. Now it's time to continue improving, and those close losses will become close wins. Then we're sitting at 8-4 or 9-3. We've taken great strides. Now it's time to take the one that really matters.
  15. Well atleast I'm not the only one who got fooled. KSR seemed to think the same thing. So did one of the local news stations.
  16. Did the appeal happen today? Read an article that stated it did... http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/feed/2010-09/enes-kanter/story/why-isnt-enes-kanter-getting-the-same-break-cam-newton-is Hopefully we found out Friday sometime.
  17. I just wish I was there to hear his speech on "the candies".
  18.   That part made me burst out laughing. Some of that interview was hilarious.
  19. Does anyone have a Justin.tv link for the game? I won't be anywhere near a tv so I want to watch it on my phone.
  20. I've never been happier watching him play. He was always my favorite player in the league to watch, and I was very disappointed when he had to go to prison. I'm just glad he's back and better than ever. The Eagles are a perfect fit for him.
  21. Had it right under my nostril last year, very similar to yours it sounds like. I took the antibiotics they prescribed to me and it slowly got better until it was gone completely. Hope you're alright man.
