  1. As much as I hate the Tebow madness, I kind of want the Broncos to beat the Pats this week just to see your reaction to it. I'm also a Jets fan and will NEVER root for the Patriots to win a game.
  2. I'm actually thoroughly intrigued by this season. It is not my favorite by any means, but it is better than last season IMO. Season finale should be a good one. Louis is seriously what has me so fascinated by the season though. I can't figure him out at all right now. He did have a quote in last night's episode that kind of hinted as to what his role in next season will be.
  3. Yeah I got my first two picks and then it wouldn't let me draft my third. Then kicked me out...
  4. At this point, I seriously don't think it's possible to beat the Broncos. How do you beat God in a game of football?
  5. I'd say XU's suspensions are right on par with UC's. If 6 games is the standard for a cheap shot that caused serious injury, then I agree with those handed out to XU players. Of course, I don't actually agree with any of the suspensions handed out. All should have been more severe IMO.
  6. Should be interesting with all of these trades and FA signings still going on. I need to catch up and see who is where before the draft.
  7. I'm just going to try and look at a couple positive things from tonight: 1) MKG is the best player on this team and I might have a man-crush on him. Seriously, he is quickly becoming one of my favorite all-time players. If he continues to play like he has, and with the passion he has, he will be my number 1. 2) Teague looked MUCH better in the second half. He was the reason for the comeback, seemingly scoring at will in one on one situations. Hope we continue to see that kind of play from him. 3) The kind of impact Davis has on the game became apparent tonight. Even when he isn't scoring or getting much in the way of stats, his presence alone makes a huge difference. 4) Great heart shown by the team. They really do hate to lose, and that passion is what champions are made of. I feel good about their chances in March, even after this loss. 5) While I would have loved to get the win, it is probably better that the team get humbled by this one. That first loss should leave a nasty taste in their mouths, and hopefully we will see more effort and smarter play from here on out. Congrats to IU. I severely underestimated their abilities, and they showed out tonight. Enjoy this win and I look forward to the next time these two teams meet. Rivalry renewed...
  8. ^Bottle of water or two always does the trick for me. Haven't had a single hangover since I started doing that.
  9. Saban does come across as a narcissist, but many of the greats do. I'm sure we aren't getting all of the info from this article. This player is probably quite biased against Saban and is using this as an opportunity to get back at his former coach a little bit. Did Saban go upstairs and call in medical personnel? Or did he do absolutely nothing to help the young man? Larry, can you post a link regarding him staying the night in the hotel with the player? I feel that is solid evidence that he cares.
  10. I say they do what they did last season and put it to a fan vote. That should ensure a Tebowless 2012. :thumb:
  11. UK a 3.5 pt favorite over IU this afternoon according to multiple outlets.
  12. Yep. They always add one at the Movie Tavern in Lexington which is where I've had it a few times.
  13. I didn't know you hated him enough to wish that upon him.
  14. I agree that if you only get one of them, Howard helps the team more. As others have said though, it's looking like Howard to the Nets right now.
  15. I agree. I really enjoy a nice cold draft of Blue Moon.
  16. Haven't got a chance to read it yet, or even all of the comments in this thread for that matter. I'll take a look when I get home later.
  17. Really, I think this trade would be best for all parties involved. Hornets lose CP3 next year regardless and will get NOTHING in return for him. Let them make the trade now and add three good players. Stern is screwing NO over more than anybody in this.
  18. There is actually a beer called: Kentucky's Finest Horse Urine Beer (Replace urine with a word word filter won't let me write) I have had it one time and it definitely lives up to its namesake. That could just be because I went into it thinking it would taste that way though. Kind of hard not to.
  19. Finished 7-6 in both of my leagues. In my league that's just for fun, I didn't make the playoffs (even though my team scored about 200 more points than the next closest team over the course of the season). In my money league, that record was good enough for a 3 seed.
  20. Indiana is very good... Kentucky is on another level. UK wins 82-65.
  21. It's nothing as simple as stats or being the best pro prospect. It's a combination of a larger set of qualities. Among NCAA QBs, RG3 has the highest passer rating and is well known for his ability as a dual-threat QB. He has taken a team that is utterly pathetic and made them into a top 15 team. His stats are VERY good and the competition he has played against is good enough to give those stats merit. His best moments have been in big situations, which is something that has been discussed somewhat over the past few days on ESPN. He has done more with less. Out of the group of QBs, those are the reasons I believe he is the most deserving of the award. I also think that what Montee Ball has done is equally impressive. As I said, I would be happy with either of those two winning the award. I do get that when voting for a Heisman winner, it all comes down to personal preference. It is too difficult to compare stats considering varying levels of competition and surrounding cast. It is also difficult to compare stats for two different positions. This isn't a perfect science where one candidate can be proven beyond a doubt better than every other candidate.
